Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday

A nice walk this morning.
Nothing falling out of the sky and all walking surfaces dry.
It was 45 degrees and calm.
Dark, then a bit cloudy and finally a little bit of sunshine.

Morning Walk Steps 10,703

Walked up and down some streets in town and then around both of the cemeteries and the ball park too.
On my journey I stopped at the library to drop off a book and a couple of CD's and also the post office to mail the Christmas cards I wrote out yesterday.

Didn't see anyone else out walking but a woman dropping her baby off at the day care said good morning and told me she sees me every day walking.
Just about everyone I talk to in town for the first time says that.

⛅️    🎄    🚶‍♀️

Did a load of laundry and hung it outside and then we went in the truck to church
to load up the church trailer with the scriptures from Fingerprints.
Came home with the trailer and later in the week we will go to Bedford, Pa, drop them off and pick up another load.

By the time we got home the sun was gone and I got my clothes off the line just in time before it rained.
They weren't dry yet so out came the drying rack again.

I finished the cross stitch part of the ornament with the two angels I'm making.
Now I just have to sew both sides together and put a hanger on it.

Still didn't get around to putting out Christmas decorations.

Supper tonight was chicken, tater tots, and coleslaw.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you had a super good Tuesday.

Debby - The drive to town is only two miles and as the crow flies from my driveway to the cemetery on the hill is less than a mile. I do walk to town but rarely and only when it is light. Walking 2 miles to town and back take up 4 miles and then I don't get to walk in town for long. Another reason I don't like to walk to town is because there is a dog that runs lose and I don't like to encounter it.

That’s too bad about the dog. No leash laws? I remember as a child, people let their dogs roam. We don’t see that anymore, since they fine the owners etc. Makes it much safer. Even walking past a yard with dogs safely within the yard feels uncomfortable if the dogs sound vicious.
Interesting sky on 2nd photo. All the lines - pretty.

You should be in a picture postcard of your town walking down the main drag! Happy Tuesday to you. We'll be traveling back home tomorrow.

So glad you had a dry walk, and a beautiful one too!
I'd say you are "famous" in your town.

Beautiful morning sky. Ours was also very pretty with clouds that seemed to be lined with peach/pink.
Too bad about the loose dog. I'd be afraid to walk past too.

I want to see the finished ornament. The two sky photos are so totally different. The sky can change so much in such a short time.

Both of the sky pictures are beautiful. I imagine there aren't many people in your town who haven't seen you out walking
