Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Back to Normal

Started out dark and clear when I got to town to walk.
38 degrees and though a little windy, nothing like yesterday.
Sunrise was at 7:37 once again (5 days in a row)
and then there was a mix of sun and clouds.
Morning Walk Steps 10,901

This isn't even facing east but north west.
The whole sky was like this.

Dropped off the book I'm not reading for the book club first
thing at the library.
Continued on over to the DG Market where I turned around.
Walked around the ball park loop and then on to both of the cemeteries.

Still no other people out walking.
I don't remember ever going this long without seeing others walking.

⛅️    🎉    🙂

We went food shopping at Walmart this morning.
While there we saw three people that we knew.
A neighbor and 2 people from church.

For quite a while now we have been watching a deer with a limp
walk around out back.
At first she just limped a little, then she could hardly put any weight on it
and now I'm happy to say the limp is better than it was in the beginning.
Maybe soon it will be completely healed.

This afternoon I put away all the Christmas decorations and the house
is back to normal.
I try to wait until New Years Day but rarely make it! 🙂

Supper tonight was chicken burritos.
No plans for us on this New Year's Eve, just a normal evening
including a dish of ice cream.

That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
🎉 HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERY ONE 🎉

I’m excited to find out if you see any New Year walkers tomorrow! 😉 I hope you do.
Getting back to normal is comforting.

Thanks for showing me how those drawers work. Now I remember that I've seen a similar board for Lego. It might even be exactly the same. Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! I bet you didn't see anyone walking was because everyone was preparing for New Year's Eve? Such pretty pastel shades of pink and blue in the sky!

The sky in that picture is gorgeous. No New Years celebrating here last night. I was in bed before 10. I'll likely start taking my Christmas decorations down today but I think it's going to take me a few days to get it all put away.

Like you I want the Christmas decorations put away sooner rather than later. But we wait until after our holiday party for my husband’s game group. They game together once a month through the year and have done so for around 40 years. That party is the first Saturday in January. So we are still decorated until this coming Sunday.
