Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Snow - didn't walk

It snowed during the night and it's been snowing all day and it's very windy too.
I didn't go for my morning walk - Ken suggested I not go and I'm listening to him this year.
Had to get steps inside today.

We were in the house all day, never made it outside.

Didn't do much of anything so this will be a short post today.

Spent part of the day working on the jigsaw puzzle.

David and Liz stopped by for a while after they got home from work.

Picture taken out front door.

Drifts on the back deck

Friday, so it's pizza day.
I make the dough from scratch now and we like it the best.

That's all I've got for today.
Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by.

Oh, I forgot (happens often these days) to comment on the puzzle, it looks gigantic! How many pieces are there? I'm embarrassed to tell you that mine are 300, but I have a couple my neighbor gave me that are more, maybe 350 and they scare me.

Hi Karen. That looks like an interesting puzzle. Is it 1000 pieces? Usually I max out with 500 piece puzzles. Glad you got some snow. We are supposed to get rain and snow this weekend and next week. I hope you have a good weekend. See you again soon!

Andvinthoufhtvwe had snow! Our streets are totally clear and at least half shine from the yard. I bet yours lasts longer. I do avoid taking chances with falling..that fall in 2018 was about more than I could deal with.

We had a little bit of snow yesterday.
I am working on another puzzle now too.
The homemade pizza crust sounds yummy.
Have a great weekend.

You got a lot of snow. We had a dusting here and then it rained and it was all gone. Sometimes staying inside at home all day is my favorite kind of day

Looks like a good choice to stay inside. It's fun to know we traveled and enjoyed areas you did years ago in Scotland!

We got a little snow but not quite as much as you did! Rich and I do puzzles to but we only do 300 piece because we like to get them done fairly fast!

Wow what a winter wonderland! Looks cozy.
When you walk in your basement, can you get the same amount of steps in or do you have a treadmill?

wow! snow down south but we have none here in eastern NY! we did get rain though (2 days!!!) and we were so thankful to see it. We were in a drought. Your snow yard looks pretty though :)
THat's an interesting looking puzzle......we used to do puzzles all the time when our daughters were younger. It was a family event when we didn't do game nights.

Wow, that is a lot of snow. I think you are wise to listen to Ken.
Your puzzle looks like it is going to be very cute. I have a similar one with all Christmas books.

Storm Burt showed up here last night. We got lots of rain, hail and strong winds. The power just came back on a few hours ago, it went out around 5am.
