Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thursday

61 degrees and cloudy this morning when I walked in town.
Sun doesn't come up till 7:02.

Walked to the library first and dropped a book down the slot.
Then walked up and down the main street and side roads.
A couple loops around each of the cemeteries and up and down the main road again.

Rebecca was out and so was John.

Most all side siding has been put up on the pole barn with just the peaks left to do.
There is a pedestrian door on the other side and the front doors haven't been put in yet.  I can see the front from the main street.

These people have quite a collection of kayaks behind their garage.

Today at Babies for Blankets we still didn't find out too much about how we will be continuing since the hospital said we couldn't leave the blankets there anymore.
There is one doctor who will be taking them for sure and still have a few others who may.  The two women who are looking into it weren't there today so we will have to wait another month.  In the meantime we are sending quite a few blankets to the Rose Bud Reservation in SD.

After lunch I went with Ken to Lowe's again.  Last time he didn't get enough cinderblock so had to go back for the additional 12.
We also made a quick stop in at Walmart.

Not much time left in the afternoon to do much of anything when we got home.

Didn't feel like cooking today so we just had turkey sandwiches, with lettuce and tomatoes for supper.  Tomatoes came from one of our neighbors.
We also had a few potato chips on the side.

Happy Thursday and once again thanks so much for visiting.

The hospital doesn't seem very grateful!

It was 57 degrees here when I left for work, but still made it into the 80's.
It's nice you are sending blankets to the reservation. I'm sure there are moms that will treasure them.
I like the quote!

The maple leave is a beauty...I just love the color. I wonder if it might be a whole family that kayaks...parents and children. The pole barn is looking good!

I think that sending the baby blanket to the reservation is a good way to help the needy native Americans. When we lived in Arizona, we saw a lot of reservations and there is truly a lot of need there. I am sure the blankets will be much appreciated. Turkey sandwiches and chips sure sound good. I hope you have a good Friday!

I hope you're able to find more places that are willing to take the blankets. That's such a nice thing to do.
A turkey sandwich would work for me.

61 degrees would have been welcome here this morning. I took care of the new kitties before I walked so it was a hot walk over the hill. I hope everything works out so the baby blanket project can continue on. I love those colorful leaves.
