Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Fingerprint Work Day

Arrived in town at 6:20 to start my morning walk.
55 degrees and sunny again when it got light out.
Sunrise 6:56
Morning Walk Steps  13,180

First walked up and down the main road and some of the side streets.
Then walked around both the cemeteries and then the ball park loop.

Rebecca was out walking and saw her around the ball park and RuthAnn was out walking her two dogs.

The concrete floor of the pole barn has been poured.

Yesterday I saw three concrete trucks drive over the grass to get to the barn.

Two kids were standing on the corner where Carmen lives.
The teenage girl looked like a younger version of Carmen and I asked her if Carmen was her mom.
She smiled and said yes.
I told her she looks just like her mom and that she probably hears that all the time.
She again smiled and said yes, but I don't mind. 🙂

☀️     ☀️     ☀️

Did a few house chores that needed to get done and then we left for a Fingerprints work day at church.
We usually meet on the 4th Thur and Fri of the month but meeting earlier in the month because other things are happening at church that week.

A so so turn out today but enjoyed working with the people who showed up.
It's always a fun day.
At the end of the day we all decided to ordered out for pizza for supper.
Ken and I left after eating but a few people who showed up later in the day stayed to work longer.

Today would have been my book club meeting.
Earlier I had planned on going to the book club and just arriving at church a little bit later but didn't read the book (started it but just couldn't get into it) so it worked out good.

Happy Thursday and thanks for visiting.

...it's interesting that the floor was poured before the roof was on!

I'm sorry that there wasn't a bigger turn out for fingerprints.

Sounds like a good day and looks like good weather!
Isn't it interesting how some kids look so much like a parent that there's no question who they belong too? As I write that, makes me think that we should act enough like our heavenly Father so people know who we belong to as well!

I see the chickens! I wonder if their wings are clipped to keep them from flying out of the fence. I would not want to drive a concrete truck...

Looks like it will be a nice barn. This is the second blog I've read this morning and both of you had pizza.
