Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

65 degrees this morning and another sunny walk
once the sun came over the mountain.

Walked around town up and down all the street,
both the cemeteries and the ball park loop.

John and Prim were out walking.
The man who walks the dog and his three kids were out walking
but only with the dog and the baby.
We stopped for a little chat but still don't know his name.

The side of the firehouse that is gravel and part of the back
is getting paved today.
There was a half dozen trucks lined up down the road ready to get to work.

Noticed some leaves starting to turn color.

☀️     ☀️

Took advantage of this sunny day and did another load of laundry.

Baked a batch of
Snickerdoodle Cookies for the Sunday school kids.
One batch is not quite enough so will make some more this week.

Happy to spend some more time on the cross stitch.

I made tuna casserole for supper this evening.
I say tuna but now I use canned chicken.

Having some rain coming through now.
Think I won't go to church tonight.
I don't mind driving in the dark or in the rain,
but not both.

That's all for today.
Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by.

HennyPenny - Oh no, not a break from ice cream.  We just ran out which we don't do very often.  Will be getting some tomorrow. Turkey Hill is also my favorite but my flavors are Mint Chocolate Chip and Trio'politan Triple Chocolate.

That's a gorgeous sky! And lots of color on that tree. We have a tree outside the window at work that is showing a little red. But we in the office aren't ready to see it yet.

Yes, here in the UK some of our leaves are turning colour.
Autumn/Fall is on the way.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers Karen, they are appreciated.

All the best Jan

Hi Karen. Those fall leaves are beautiful. I am looking forward to fall! Snicker Doodles sound yummy. I may use your recipe and make some! I don't like to drive in the dark and the rain either. See you again tomorrow!

If you make a second recipe of your delicious cookies there will be some to go with your ice cream. ( Let us know what flavours you get this time).

Oh wow, leaves turning color already. I haven't spotted any here yet. I haven't had snickerdoodles in a long time. I may have to make some.

Dark and rain are a tough combo to drive in. Better safe than sorry. I think I'll try tuna noodle with the canned chicken we have!

Oh those beautiful colors on that tree! We have a few here that are changing too.
