Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunday

Happy Sunday

John 1:5
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 1:7
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light,
that all men through him might believe.

John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.

A Blessed Sunday to all.

Deb - Kate Morton wrote The Secret Keeper.  I thought the book was great!!

Rose - The book club book is The Door-To-Door Bookstore by Carsten Henn.  I haven't reread any of Anne Perry's books.  She has written so many I've not read all of them yet!  I just learned she died in April of 2023.

Hi Karen! Thanks for letting me know which author wrote The Secret Keeper. I will have to see if our library has it. I love all of these scriptures. Jesus is truly the light of the world! Beautiful sky pictures. I hope you have a great week!

Karen,
I’m feeling nostalgic today and, just for fun, used your Blog Archive to go back 10 years to 2014. It’s fun to go back and look at old posts. I wonder if you go back and take a look at past posts very often? Many of your posts made me smile again, like I did when I first read them. An excellent example is your post of Saturday, August 30, 2014, where you included this …

Be grateful for what you have
and stop complaining -
it bores everybody else,
does you no good,
and doesn't solve any problems.
~ Zig Ziglar

Reading that, I thought … wow, it works just as perfectly today as 10 years ago. Thank you, as always, for sharing Life is Good.
John

I love the book of John. Jesus celebrates the Feast of Dedication, and acknowledging that He is the true light! Beautiful!

I know Anne Perry has written a lot of books...have never thought to see how many. I happened to see that she had died, but could not have told you when. The Door to Door bookstore sounds interesting...think I will look it up just to see...not that I don't have a ton of books on my kindle.
