I drove to town in the rain.
It rained for about a half hour when walking and then it was just cloudy.
The rest of the day we had a few showers in between
periods of sun.
Saw 7 deer on my way to town and 3 deer on my way home.
Walked around both of the cemeteries and then down to the ball park.
Then walked all around town up and down all the side streets.
The building on the left with the white columns is an old general store
from some years back.
At one time it must have been an antique shop.
I took a picture of the inside of the building above.
I'd love to have a look around inside.
John and Prim were out walking and I saw
Rebecca and Leo three different times around town.

Stitching morning at the library.
Three of us there this time and Connie joined us once in a while
when there wasn't any other people in the library.
All of us were knitting today.
I gave them the pattern of the blanket I'm working on and
Debbie gave us a knitting pattern for another blanket.
They weren't kidding last week when asked if I'd tell another
Bible story so I told them David and Goliath.
Again they knew the story but not the details.
Knitted some more this afternoon and read too.
I'm reading The Secret Keeper and hope to finish it this evening.
Picked up the book club book when I was at the library this morning.
Book club meets on Thursday and hopefully I'll get it read by then.
Happy Saturday
Thanks for stopping by

...a store piled to the rafters with treasures.
I was curious about that building. When I zoomed in on the photo, I saw that it was filled up to the ceiling. I would love to explore it as well. I was particularly drawn to the the wall that read "Home Remedies, Tonics"... it's definitely an old-fashioned general store.
Hi Karen. Yes, that old antique store does look like it would be a good one to look around in. Glad you had a nice day and told your knitting group another Bible story!
Hi again, Karen! Who wrote The Secret Keeper? I looked it up and there are several books with that title by different authors. Thanks!
How my boys loved the story of David and Goliath. They always wanted to act it out ( with me, of course, being Goliath). I had to stand on a footstool and "fall" down when they used their pretend slingshots. Then came the gory part
( did you tell your friends that David actually cut Goliath's head off?) I wonder if some Sunday School teacher told them about that part.
Thanks for the memories.
It was a deer day for you!
I really like that old building, looks like a neat tin ceiling in there.
I love that you are telling bible stories! Hope you get to do another one next week.
So this is the inside of the old General Store? How sad. I bet it was quite something else in it's time.
What is your book club book? I have wondered to you re-read any of Anne Perry's?
That first shot so looks like fall is there. I would love to look in the old general store, too.
A lovely day!

That old store would be fun to roam around in. I bet you could find some good treasures buried in there.
It would be a kick to check out all those things in that store. That is great that you are able to tell the stories as they are from the Bible!
I wonder what will happen to the old store. It would be nice to see what is stacked in there.
I would love to check out everything in that store.
