Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Fingerprint work day

62 degrees this morning and cloudy when I was walking in town.
Headed on over to the library first to drop off a book.
Then walked up and down the main road and side streets.

Continued around one of the cemeteries and then over to the ball
park and walked that loop.
Lastly back to the pond and around the upper cemetery.

My house is up there where the clouds are in about the middle of the picture.
Probably a mile as the crow flies.

John was out once again walking Prim.
A man I know George from town stopped as he was driving by to say hi.
Town workers Bill and Greg had just taken down a tree by the ball park
that was dead and leaning over the path.
They are always busy keeping our little town nice.

Got a few things done around the house and then we were off
to church for a Fingerprint work day.
We had a good turnout of people to work on getting the books together.
Didn't count but would say about 20 or so.
Also don't know how many books got put together but will have a
final count after tomorrows work day.

Nice now to relax at home.
I'll be sewing weave-it squares together on July's baby blanket.
Watch a DVD and of course have some ice cream.

It's been a good day and for that I am thankful.
Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by.

I enjoy the photo showing where your home is from a distance.
I think you live in a beautiful area, not just visually but also with that small town feel and beautiful people.
Glad you had such a good day!

That's a good group of workers! Happy new day to you. We are heading out of town until Tuesday so I might be even later than usual getting around to blogs.

The weeks go by so fast. It's work day again!
DH brought home Rocky Road ice cream and I'm not really fond of it. We'll eat it and then not choose that one again.

Why do they say "as the crow flies"? What if he decides to fly one way, then change his mind and fly another way?

God bless.

Looks like a good day... over 13000 steps is great. I almost think I was traveling less.
The flowers are nice. Best regards and enjoy your weekend.
