Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Chicken on a Pillow

I walked this morning in a mix of clouds and sun and it was 55 degrees.
Sunrise was 6:01
and I was in town walking once again at 6:25.

Went first over to the library and dropped a note down the
book drop for Connie.
Then continued walking all around town, the cemeteries and the ball park.

This bull was trying to scratch an itch and was moving the
whole gate up and down.

A couple other bulls in the field and this one was coming over to see me.
This is the field behind the cemetery on the hill.
I think these are some of the bulls that were in the barn
down by the Drane house.

This chicken on the pillow made me laugh.

Two people out walking their dogs this morning.
Rebecca walking Leo and
John walking Prim.

I waited till 8:00 when the post office opened and went in to mail
a card with a scrubby I knitted for my friend Bernice.
Thought it might just need an extra stamp by wasn't sure.
Glad I went to check because it ended up costing $1.35.
Stayed and talked to Dwayne a few minutes and Tonya (our letter carrier).

Thought these clouds with the bit of blue here and there were pretty amazing.

Baby Blanket work day at church this morning.
There were 9 of this there this time.
Linda brought the food and Sandy gave the devotional.
Ken drove me this time, dropped me off and then he went to Lowe's
and then food shopping at Walmart.
Nice that I got to skip shopping this week.
I'm not crazy about shopping but do like putting everything away and seeing the pantry shelves full and looking neat and tidy.

We made pizza a day early this week.
Looking forward to my ice cream later this evening.
Haven't had it in a few days.

That's all I've got for today.
A happy day to you.
Thanks for popping in.

I wasn't sure what you meant, but you meant actually a chicken on a pillow! 😂

I like the cloud picture. Sounds like you had a nice day. Charly usually does our shopping, for which I am very grateful. See you again tomorrow.

How strange that those pillows are there!!!

Haha. Like Sandi I thought it was a chicken appliqued onto a pillow.
Those cloudy are so interesting. We had lots of fluffy white ones today with a brisk wind blowing them around. It felt cold.

I guess even chickens like comfort.
I have a card to mail that I'm sure will need extra postage but have been procrastinating on going to the post office.

That first photo is an odd book drop to the library; in the middle of a field.

God bless.

Ha to the chicken on a pillow! I enjoy seeing those bulls too.
The clouds are unusual and pretty.
I haven't heard Kathy Troccoli in some time. I enjoy her music.

Love it.
I’m working on a project. I’m wondering if you’d be willing to help.
Happy Friday.

SO funny the chicken on a pillow! Do the bulls let you pet them? I too hate food shopping, but I also hate putting them away too!

Those clouds are so different and so strange and beautiful all at once. I would have laughed at the chicken, too.

So many questions in my head about those pillows in the chicken coop. :)
That sky with those clouds is amazing!
