Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Spring Snow Flurries

My walk this morning was in falling snow.
Snowed the whole time but didn't amount to anything.
In town and walking at 6:35 and it was 33 degrees and windy.
Only saw one deer as I drove to town.
Sunrise 6:53

Walked up and down one side of the main street in town and all the side streets,
then did the same thing on the other side of the street.
A few loops around the ball park loop and
around the cemetery too.

No one else out again, just me.

Sure didn't seem like spring out there this morning but those
daffodils are proof that it is indeed spring.

Just getting home here and going up the driveway.

Had to do a load of laundry but no hanging it outside today.
Inside on the drying rack will have to do.

A few housework chores to finish up and then knitted most of the afternoon.
Working on the green baby blanket and I can see the end in sight.
Just have 7 more pattern rows to do and then the 10 border rows.
A picture will be coming soon.

Snowed all day and at times looking out the window it looked like a blizzard.
The ground is too wam though and just a light dusting at times was on
the ground and then that would melt till the next burst of snow.

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by.

Funny story I came across looking through a notebook I keep of things
that make me smile.
Pretty sure it was in a Readers Digest years ago.

Visiting his parent's retirement village in Florida,
my middle-aged friend Tim, went for a swim in the community pool
while his elderly father took a walk.
Tim struck up a conversation with the only other person in the pool,
a 5 year old boy.
After a while Tim's father returned from his walk and called out,
"Tim, I'm ready to leave."
Tim then turned to his new friend and announced that he had to leave
because his father was calling.
Astonished, the wide eyed little boy cried,
"You're a kid?"

Your header picture is absolutely awesome! Those clouds were all lined up in a row to get their picture taken.

The little story at the end made me LOL. Have a great weekend, my friend.

No hanging clothes here either. Burrrr. Instead, the heat is cranked.

...we had snow today too, but it warmed up and the little bit that we got melted. The warm weather that we had in March lulled us into thinking that spring had sprung!

Your weather was exactly the same as ours today.
Your story at the end was cute. Thanks for the laugh.

The pink glow picture in your April 4 post is excellent, but the real WOW for me is your new header. Amazing!

Love your header pic today!
Isn't it funny to see the collision of winter and Spring with daffodils and snow?
Love the story at the end!

I like that funny little story. When we used to get the Reader's Digest the jokes and humorous stories always got read first around here.
Pretty picture of the daffodils in the snow.

Lol! That is such a cute story! We had some snow yesterday but just a little and it was gone within the hour. Somehow the words "Spring" and "snow" do not sit well with me!

That story is so nice. Love it. Well, if I didn't see those daffodils in your photo, I would say: it's still really winter there.

We had our first warm day today, and my husband was huffing and puffing while running. They're not used to it anymore. Your body needs to adjust. I wish you a blessed Sunday in advance.

Same thing here - snow in the air, but not much on the ground. We don't have any Daffs in bloom yet though.
