A cold morning with a temperature of 18 degrees,
but there was no wind and once the sun came over the mountain
it was nice and sunny.
Sunrise was 7:17
Got to town and started walking at 6:30.
Walked up and down the main road, then over to the ball park
and walked around there a couple of times.
Continued on over to the cemetery on the hill and walked down the
farm road to the cow barn.
I walked to the end of the barn
then turned right to go around the building and down the other side
where I get to see all the cows and their babies.
Farmer Marvin was out in the barn and I stopped to talk to him.
He told me that 138 calves have been born and there
are about 20 more to be born.
Three sets of twins and no deaths.
As I left to finish my walk Farmer Marvin thanked me
for stopping to say hi.
I thanked him for letting me walk around the barn!!
Ended my walk walking around the lower cemetery.

☀️ 🐄
Drove to church after breakfast for a Baby Blanket work morning.
I handed in the fleece blanket that I knitted and didn't like.
Everyone else liked it, at least they said they did. 🙂
There were 13 of us there today.
Jane bought the food and I gave the devotional.
My blanket for next month is the green one I'm knitting.
I can't knit on that while I'm talking so I made a few
weave-it squares today which will be for May.
I got home just in time for lunch and Ken made me nachos.
Had to do a bit of work this afternoon and then read for a bit.
It was sunny all day and the temperature warmed up in the 30's.
Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by.

Mary - Sorry I don't know who wrote the Begin Today poem. It said unknown and though I tried, couldn't find out who the author was.

Unbelievable about all those babies!! And no problems with any, either!
...you sure had a cold start! Farner Marvin should be busy!
I do like how the cows look at you when you take their photograph :)
All the best Jan
Hi Karen. That's a lot of baby calves! So glad that none of them died. Sounds like you had another good day. See you again tomorrow!
Looking forward to seeing the finished blanket. Sounds like another good walk and great the snow from earlier in the week had stopped.
I love the cow photos. I am glad the calves are all doing well.
Nachos for lunch sounds yummy. Take care, have a great day and happy weekend.
I thought it was cold here at 25, you had us beat.
That's amazing all those calves being born and no deaths.
You had a full day all in one morning :)
Nice that you got to chat with Farmer Marvin and see all the babies in the barn. It's cold here too and we are expecting a foot of snow tomorrow...hopefully that will be the last of the snow til next year! Have a great weekend!
Cows are always curious! Nice that Farmer Marvin lets you walk around there.
