Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Last of the measuring cups

It was even warmer than yesterday morning at 48 degrees.
It had rained during the night but remained cloudy with a bit of a breeze
for all of my walk.
Saw a deer run across the road on my way to town
and got to town and started walking at 6:35.
Sunrise 7:15

Walked through town down the main street and up and down all
the side streets and a couple of loops around the ball park.
The man who owns the chickens was in the yard feeding them.
I stopped for a chat with him.
All escapes have been returned but there's one chicken that keeps getting out.
There's one in every crowd. 🐓
Next I walked around both of the cemeteries.

Didn't take any walking pictures.

☁️    ❤️    😀

Met up with the stitching group at the library this morning.
I knitted on my pink shawl.
There were 6 of us there and a dog named Cheddar who is a Service dog.
The woman who was there is extremely food sensitive and Cheddar
can sniff out 38 different foods which she is allergic to.
When food is put in front of him if Laura can't eat the food
Cheddar will sit there, if it is good to eat he will lay down.
Pretty amazing.
Cheddar is a beautiful white golden born in England.
It was hard not to be able to pet him because he was working.

This is the last of my measuring cups.
I like these because they are colorful.
There are the regular 4 sizes and the purple one is 2 tablespoons.

Next week I'll be posting the measuring spoons that I have.

An evening out for us today.
The couples in our church are going out for dinner for Valentine's Day.
The restaurant is The Candlewyck Inn an hour away from us in Keyser, WV.
We will be leaving in just a few minutes.

Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by.

It got very cold here last night and we are back to temps in the low 30's.
Cheddar sounds like an incredible dog and such a blessing for the owner.
The Candlewyck Inn is very pretty! Hope you are having a great time there!

Amazing about that dog. My grandgirl's boyfriend has extreme allergies also and carries an epipen with him at all times. It's scary.
Love your set of measuring cups. What fun! xo Diana

I am always amazed how smart dogs are and how many things they can be trained to do! I would have wanted to pet him too!
