Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Pink Glow

24 degrees this morning, calm and another sunny morning.
Saw all those deer again on my way driving to town again.
Got to town and started walking at 6:30.
Sunrise 7:03
Morning Walk Steps 13,025

Started my walk going around the cemetery up the hill and
then the other cemetery.
Walked through town around the ball park loop.
Most of the snow is gone but a bit left around here because it
stays in the shade.

Then I walked back through town and up and down most of the side streets.

When it's cold and the sun shines on the snow it is sparkly.
Tired to capture it in a picture but it didn't come out so good.
If I didn't say wouldn't you think it was a picture of the sky?

☀️

Off we went to Grantsville after breakfast to Casselmans Market
to pick up a few things.
Didn't need all that much so was in and out in no time.

A little house work got done and when I dusted moved some things around.

After lunch we worked on the taxes and happy to say we are now finished!!

I finished knitting the baby blanket with the fleece yarn and though
it is very soft I just don't like and won't make any more.

Thinking about knitting a scarf with whats left.

That's all I have for today.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Happy Tuesday

Two artists were asked to paint a picture of genuine peace.
One painted a landscape with a mountain lake.
The other painted a turbulent scene.
It had a violent waterfall crashing down on a birch tree
with its fragile branches reaching just above the turbulent foam.
In the fork of one of the branches
was a bird's nest in which there was a small bird fast asleep.

The sunrise is so pretty. And I really like the little story at the end.

Glistening snow is so beautiful. And when you tilt your head slightly, all sorts of colors sparkle. It's so hard to capture, but very fascinating. Beautiful, such a candy-pink sunrise

Yep I’d say that little bird sleeping peacefully in the nest in the midst of all the chaos is real peace - the kind that comes from our Heavenly Father.

That's a gorgeous sky!
Yes, that snow pic really does look like a cloudy, overcast sky.
Love the story of the peace paintings. That second one truly shows the real peace.

Hi Karen. That's a very colorful blanket. I love the little story about true peace. So true. That is how we can be when we give all of our pain and problems to God. See you again tomorrow!

That view is pretty in pink.
Too bad about the blanket. It does have nice colors.
I like the story about the two artists.

What a beautiful pink sunrise.
Always a good feeling to have the taxes done.
The story at the end was a good one. I felt the peaceful feeling wash over me thinking of that little bird fast asleep in it's nest.
