Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Snow Showers

Was supposed to be just cloudy but there was a dusting of snow
on the ground and it was still snowing when I left for town.
Though it snowed the whole time I was walking it didn't amount to anything.
Started walking at 6:40 and it was 27 degrees.

Morning Walk Steps 13179

Walked through town and over to the industrial park and walked around there.

Then headed over to the ball park and walked around there a few times.

The little brook just to the right of the picture above.

Walked up and down the main street in town.
This time the sidewalks were good for walking because of all the grit
that got thrown there from the snow plow last week.

Lastly I walked around the cemetery on top of the hill.

No one else out walking again.
It's been such a long time since I've seen anyone walking.
Farmer Marvin passed me a couple of times in his truck and waved both times.

I'm just so thankful to be outside walking again.

🌨    😀    🥾

Got a load of laundry done and hanging on the rack and a couple
other house chores done this morning.

I love knitting with the fleece yarn.
It is so soft.
This is what I've gotten done so far.

Also used the scrubby sparkle yarn and made a Scrubby Dish Cloth.

Supper tonight is Vegetable Bean Soup.

Hope you had a fantastic Monday.
Thanks for visiting.

Diana - No, storm approaching, just a cloudy day.
Ginny and Mari - Our Pastor says the same thing about pride and I also agree.

A fresh coat of snow makes everything seem so magical! No one else seems to have the forbearance to be as dedicated to walking that you do!

...we had the same here today.

The soup looks so fitting on a snowy day. Add some garlic and
ditalini pasta and its Minestrone soup!

CS Lewis said, "According to Christian teachers, the essential vice, the utmost evil, is Pride. Unchastity, anger, greed, drunkenness, and all that, are mere flea bites in comparison: it was through Pride that the devil became the devil:

Pride leads to every other vice: it is the complete anti-God state of mind…… it is Pride which has been the chief cause of misery in every nation and every family since the world began."

Good subject matter!

The dusting of snow looks so pretty!
You've inspired me to make veg. bean soup too except I only have black beans but that will work out fine.

Everything looks pretty covered in snow. I don't mind it so much when it's just in small amounts. Soup was the perfect thing to have for dinner.
Love the looks of that fleece yarn. It looks so warm and soft.

Snow sure does look pretty. Glad to hear that you were able to get outside again.
I took a look at your veggie soup recipe. That looks so good. I need to buy some spinach so I can give it a try.
