Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Package arrived

To town and walking at 6:40.
Was just supposed to be cloudy but I walked in a misty drizzle.
It was 41 degrees and sunrise was 7:29.

Walked around town up and down the main street and side roads.
The snow is gone now except for piles that were plowed.
For all the snow we had it sure disappeared fast.

Walked around the upper cemetery a few times.

No snow by the other cemetery but still too soggy to walk around.

The ball park was next and the chickens came over to the fence.

No people out walking again but I sure enjoyed walking outside
even in the rain.

🌧    🙂    🐓

It has been a while since the stitching group has met at the library
so it was good to have a good group of 7 of us there today.
2 of us knitting
2 crocheting
3 embroidering
We were there from 9:30 to 11:30.

While I was there Ken went to the DG Market on his own this week.

When I got home I was happy to see that the yarn order from
Herrschners had arrived.
The yarn on the left is the fleece yarn and I'm pleased to say it is
just what I expected it to be like.
I already starting the first baby blanket with it this afternoon.

The middle yarn is called scrubby sparkle and great for knitting
dish clothes for scrubbing stuck on food or pots and pans as it has texture.
With all that yarn I'll be able to make LOTS of them.
Probably everyone I knew will end up with a couple of them!

The dozen cake yarns are going to be mainly for scarves.
Another church project.

Well that's all I have for today.
Hope you had a great Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mari - The link I have for Fingerprints pretty much explains all what is involved. The actual printing of the pages is done at Beacon of Truth in Bedford, Pa where we go to pickup up the scriptures and return them once we have completed putting together the Romans books.

I have never heard of these terms for yarns! But my favorite is the beautiful pastel ones on the right...the Cake ones, right? I guess because of the shape they have been wound into.

Good deal, back on the road for a LONG walk.... I know your volunteer work is appreciated. And it is good to have a work party.
BUT best is the chickens, I thought of mama's Chicken lot. She loved her chickens......

That first photo is so pretty! We still have a lot of snow here, even though the temps have been over freezing all week. There is a lot of snow to melt.
You have lots of yarn to work on for awhile. The cake yard really does look like a layer cake. :)
Now i'm off to check that link. Thanks for sharing it.

I have a dear friend who used to make those scrubbies. I think she only quit because there was nobody left to give any to!! She also used to cover wire coat hangers with wool too. I still have a number of those and really like them.

I've seen that yard for making scrubby dishcloths. I've wondered how easy it is to work with.

Pretty yarns.
I need to go online and order some yarn. I want to make a chunky blanket.
According to my figures though, it will be cheaper to buy one so Im looking for a deal.
