Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Work Day

A nice clear morning with no wind.
44 degrees when I started walking at 6:30.
Sunrise was at 7:39 and it was nice and sunny.
Morning Walk Steps 14,158

Walked all around town, both cemeteries and the ball park.
Went down the the road toward home a ways and then back to town.

Saw deer again on my way to town and later while walking saw a fox run across the road right in front of me.

Finally saw someone else out walking, John and his dog Prim.
Saw them far away so we just waved.

The 4 holes at the modular home site have been filled with concrete.
Ann - The concrete filled holes are the foundation for the home. I think they will put cinderblock on the concrete and then set the house on those.

The corn is really dried out now and I wouldn't be surprised if it was all cut down today.
Guess it had gotten too wet with all the rain we had and had to dry out again.

Another great morning for walking.
Just love these crisp fall mornings.

It was a Fingerprint Ministry work day at church.
About 20 people came and went during the time we were there.
We worked from 12:00 to 5:30.
I mostly worked on the cutter.
5,000 Roman's books are ready for shipping.
Work will continue this evening for a while yet and we will be back again tomorrow morning.

Nice to be home now for a little relaxation.
Looking forward to my ice cream snack.
Lately I've been having Turkey Hill Chocolate Chip mint.

Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by.

Lighthouse Number Six
No markings on this one but pretty sure it is supposed to be
Cape Hatteras which was posted Tuesday.

A couple of people had walking questions.
Under the header is a page entitled
WALKING FAQ
I've answered every walking question I could think of there. ๐Ÿ™‚

A beautiful morning for a walk! And the picture of the corn is stunning.
A lot of work accomplished with the copies of Romans. That's such a wonderful ministry that your church does.

Mint chip ice-cream is one of my favorites! You are such a hard worker! Your barn photo is beautiful!

Hi Karen. Mint chip ice-cream sounds yummy. I hardly ever eat ice cream unless it is a special occasion somewhere else. We rarely buy ice cream any more. You and Ken had another good day doing God's work. Bless you both. See you again tomorrow!

Wow, you got a lot of steps in. I thought maybe the holes were for that purpose.
We had Turkey Hill ice cream on sale where I work for quite a while so that was the brand I was buying. Chocolate chip mint is one of my favorites.

The barn sure has character and some stories to tell if only it could talk.

That old barn looks like it could use some new boards along the bottom. Otherwise it could stand for many years yet.

May the Romans work you do multiply with souls that are born again! Glad the farmers got some dry days so they can finish the harvest. I like that lighthouse with all the blue...

Terrific contrast between sky and corn.
