Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rainy Day

This morning I was at town and started walking at 6:25.
Went dressed for the rain and it was raining at first, but it only lasted about 5 minutes.

Then it was just cloudy.
The temperature was 50 degrees.
Sunrise was at 7:26 but did not see it this morning.
Morning Walk Steps were 13,775

Walked over to the post office first to mail a card.
It is closed this early but you can go in the lobby and put it down the mail slot.

Continued all around town, the ball park, and just the one cemetery on top of the hill.

Saw Rebecca out walking.
A young couple was out walking who I see once in a while on a weekend morning.
Not positive but I think they are Lisa's son and daughter-in-law.

Front and back walls went up yesterday at new house build and I see they covered the wood anticipating the rain today.

All those footing holes that were dug at the site where the modular home will be have been poured with concrete.
Yesterday I thought there were about 16 holes but todays count brought it up to 23.

The last 5 minutes of my walk it started raining again.
Talk about perfect timing!!

🌧         🙂         ☁️         🌧

There was no Stitch in Time gathering at the library this morning because the library was closed because of the Autumn Glory Festival which is a big event around here.
Too bad the day is a rainy one.

We stayed home and had a cozy rainy day at home.
I started another book and also knitted.
Supper was easy - took some vegetable soup out of the freezer that I had made previously.

Happy Saturday and Thanks for stopping by.

Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.

...no rain here, but we could use some. There seems to be a building boom in Accident!

Rained here today too. The festival looks like fun and has a lot of activities.

No rain for us, we enjoyed a beautifully sunny day.
The festival looks good, and your supper sounds delicious.

All the best Jan
