Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Two Walks

To town and started walking at 6:23
Sunrise was at 6:46
54 degrees while walking and once again a sunny morning.

Stayed right in town today and walked around both cemeteries, the ball park, and up and down the side streets.

This is another house I walk past often that I like.
Of course I love the front porch!
I think I'd make the dormer a place for reading.

John was out walking Prim again.
I warned him that I saw a skunk over by the ball park because Prim doesn't like skunks and has already been sprayed by one!

Another man was out walking his dog who I see once in a while.
I think he must be shy because he never talks to me but I have gotten him to wave.

Other than the dog walkers it was very quiet around town.

☀️         ðŸš¶‍♀️         ðŸ™‚

I made us some pancakes for breakfast, did the routine morning chores quickly and then went back to town to the library.
Met a few women there for a couple hours of knitting.
There were just 4 of us but 2 of the women I didn't know and it was nice to meet some new people.
I worked on the colorful shawl.
One other woman was knitting and the other two were doing crochet.

Another beautiful sunny day so I was off an another walk.
This time around our property, Happy Trails.

I made Three Bean Salad for supper and we had grilled hot dogs with it.

Happy Friday and thanks for popping in for a visit.

That style of house appeals to me. I wish we would have built ours that way 44 years ago. My grandparents farm house looked similar but without the dormer.

I like that house too! A reading nook would be perfect there.
The buttons today are a pretty color.

I have never seen a dormer shaped like this! And I do adore the porch! These buttons remind me of the sea around a tropical isle.

I would feel right at home walking your Happy Trails. We saw a large flock of wild turkeys today.

That was a nice day and with those two walks no wonder you had so many steps. You are doing great.

I like that house and would LOVE to have a front porch like that. A reading nook for that dormer does sound like a great idea
