This morning I walked under sunny skies.

This morning my walk took me around the Farm Loop.
Farmer Bill's corn is the tallest around here so far with it coming
up to my shoulder.
The farms around here grow corn (for feed) and soybeans.
When I got back to town still had to walk a couple of miles
so walked up and down the side streets.
My left shoe seems to have developed a squeak
which is driving me a bit crazy. 🥾
When I got back to the Jeep I saw Sheila's car in the parking lot
but never did see her.

I am happy to say that one of my tomato plants out back
in the pots is getting a tomato.
We might have a couple of home grown tomatoes after all.
Another nice sunny day in the 70's.

The flowers are so cheerful and pretty.
One of my shoes developed a squeak last week. It's the shoes I wear to work with my scrubs, so I hear it frequently and it drives me crazy!
I hope your tomato plant works out....nothing like a fresh summer tomato.

I planted 4 tomato plants a couple of weeks ago. Two look like they are dying in the heat and two are surviving and have little tomatoes. so I know how exciting it is to have fresh, home-grown fruits and vegetables. We also have several little figs on our fig tree, so we are hoping they will continue to grow and do well. The corn is really growing well. Your temperatures are cooler than ours. I love that farm loop. I am amazed at how fast the corn is growing. A big thumbs up for Farmer Bill. We always have a BLT with our first ripe tomato.
That farm loop is very scenic. Your tomato plant reminds me of the one I had one year. A customer brought it to me and told me it was supposed to grow huge tomatoes. I can't remember what size he told me. I got one single tomato and it was probably double the size of a cherry tomato.

I miss seeing the corn crops and the wheat and cotton. That was all down south, where my childhood was. Here they grow rice, so the crops are in wet fields. Very different.
Squeaky shoes are so annoying :)
