Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking and Blankets

Stated out walking with it being 44 degrees this morning but by the
time I was done walking it was up to 54.
The sun was shining and the wind was gone.
Sunrise 5:49
Morning Walk Steps 13,131

First walked down the main road toward home,
turned around and went back to town.

Continued through town and over to the ball park and walked that
loop a couple of times.
Up and down side streets and finally around both of the cemeteries.

Work continues on the church and the back already
has the siding up.

There was one more little horse in the barn this morning
making a total of seven.

Saw Sheila running around the cemetery and we stopped to chat.
She was in a very talkative mood this morning and must have talked
to me for 15 minutes.
Haven't seen her to talk to in a while so it was nice to catch up.

🥾    🌤    🚶‍♀️    🙂

Since I spent all that time talking it was a bit of a rush to
get some things done and get out of the house by 9:00.
But I did and was at Blankets for Babies right on time.
There were 11 of us working on blankets and as usual much
talking and laughing going on as we work.
Linda brought breakfast (I ate at home)
and Jane gave the devotional.

Read and knitted this afternoon.
Trying to get the knitted pillow done.
Seems like it is taking me forever.
Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Thursday

Ginny - The church in town will still be open while the siding is being put up.  In face on Monday VBS will be starting.

...the wide shoulders make walking along the road a lot safer!

Another lovely walk. 44* was on the chilly side but, like you said, it warmed up by the time you were done walking.
Have you noticed any birds interested in the birdhouse on the post by the cemetery?

Your first shot is my favourite.

That was a pretty, and also slightly chilly walk!
Nice you got to spend a little time talking and then fun making blankets!

What a beautiful and peaceful-looking early morning picture! I really can’t imagine, after having walked all those miles, getting anywhere by 9:00 a.m. I want to be like you when I grow up. 😉

The first photo is lovely, pretty sky capture! It is nice that people have put up the birdhouses. The mornings here are chilly only in the 50's.
Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend!

It's nice to get to visit with walking friends. I don't see many walkers on the trails but I see lots of bikes and they stop and talk sometimes. Enjoy your day. I'm taking the day off...it's rainy this morning! YAY!
