Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Printing Press

50 degrees this morning when walking with a mix of sun and clouds.
No breeze to speak of.
Sunrise 6:41
Morning Walking Steps 12,669
It's been quite a while since I found any coins but this morning
I found a penny in the parking lot of the Dollar General.

Driving to town I had to stop and let 6 deer cross the road.

Walked to the library first to drop off a DVD down the book drop.
Then through town and over to the industrial park and walked around it.
Also went up and down the road behind the Dollar General.

Noticed around town that the forsythia have started blooming.
Not out fully yet.

Walked back to town and walked a couple of times around the
ball park loop.
Then through town and around the lower cemetery.

The black chain link fence is up around the Victorian house and looks
better than I thought it would.
With it being black it blends in pretty good, a lot better than
the silver chain link would.

Rebecca was out running this morning and we passed by each
other three times!

Nice to be able to walk without a bunch of layers on.
Seems like I can walk faster.

Right after breakfast we left in the truck and went to church.
We hooked up the church trailer loaded with the Romans
books we put together and drove up to Bedford, Pa to drop them
off and pick up another pallet to bring back.
We pick up 20,000 at a time.

While we were there this time the printing press was working
and printing the scriptures that we put together.
It is quite an impressive press and noisy too.
Took the picture with Johnny to give perspective of the size.

The scriptures that we dropped off today will be on there way
to Guatemala on Monday.

On the way back we stopped at Wendy's like we usually do and had
spicy chicken sandwiches for lunch.

Back at church we unloaded the scriptures.

Then it was back home and time to relax.

Another nice day but a few more clouds and not quite as
warm as yesterday at 74.
The temperatures will probably go back to normal though
I don't know what is normal anymore!!

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Friday

Our temps rose to 81° today. This will the end of it for at least the next week.

Interesting to see the printing presses. Do you also cut the pages?

Hi Karen. I do love seeing Forsythia bushes in the spring. We are having "weather whiplash" here too. Who knows what is normal. We are glad that the temperatures have cooled somewhat - that will help the snowpack in the mountains to melt more slowly and hopefully not flood, but there has already been some flooding in some areas. Interesting to see the printing presses. It's nice that the little books will be on their way to people in Guatemala so soon! I hope you have a good weekend!

That would be fun to watch that printing press in action.
I haven't been to Wendy's in ages. I could go for a chicken sandwich though :)

Hello,
I love the first sky shot. The weather has been beautiful lately.
We are having some much needed rain this morning. Have a great weekend.

That printing press looks great. It is wonderful to see the Word of God being printed and put into the hands of people who need it.

That's a big printing press.

I chuckled about your comment about "normal" temperatures. Do any of us know what normal is anymore? I'm ever so grateful that we have not been exposed to any of horrible storms that are hitting other areas of the country. That printing press is huge! I have a friend who put up a black chain link fence and I was skeptical but it actually looks quite elegant and nowhere near as utilitarian as the silver. Have a great weekend!

I'm really wanting to have a look at the black chain link fence!
The printing press looks so big. I can imagine how noisy it must be.

Lovely walk. We had someone paint a chain link fence black and it looked great. It just kind of disappeared. I used to work at a huge company that ran presses. They were monsters. I was a cost analyst/estimator and had to know how fast something could run, how much ink would be used, the amount of waste-start up and waste-end up, and cost of the particular paper being used for the job. It was a long learning curve but I loved it and worked for the top salesman. Everyone was scared to death of him and wouldn't work with him but I just gave his "mouth" back to him and earned his respect. lol. xo Diana
