Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

A misty rainy walk this morning with some wind that got
stronger the longer I walked.
When I started walking it was 50 degrees and when I got
back to the Jeep it was down to 39.
Sunrise 7:06
Walking Steps 12,744

Walked all over town and the ball park loop and
both cemeteries.

Planned on cutting my walk short because of the cold rain
but ended up walking all 6 miles.

Lisa was the only other person out there walking.

Nice to get back home to a nice dry warm house.
Seemed like a good day to have oatmeal for breakfast.

Today was a Fingerprint Ministry work day at church.
We left the house at 10:30 and stopped at Walmart to pick up
a new battery for our dump trailer first before continuing on to church.

Work at church is from 12:00 to 9:00 with people coming and going
to work when they can.
We left at 5:00.

The temperature went down during the day and now it is 23 degrees.
We had rain, freezing snow, fog, and plain old snow.
Roads a bit slippery on the way home.
Once again today I'm glad to be home in a nice warm house.
About to have supper which is pizza which we made earlier
in the week and froze with today in mind.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Friday was a happy one.

...our light morning rain turned to snow, by after noon it looked beautiful. Take care and watch out for the ice.

When you've been out in the cold, it's always lovely returning to a warm home.
Hope you enjoyed your pizza.

All the best Jan

Your weather this morning wasn't the best but you managed your 6 miles. We did our grocery shopping and the weather was not pleasant so we skipped the walk.

Sounds like the weather we had. I'm going to miss those milder temps.

A pizza on a cold rainy day sounds so good! Especially homemade.

It takes some will power to get out in cold rain to walk but its worth the effort. Kudos to both you and Lisa.

We had a bit of snow here yesterday. All day customers kept coming in saying how cold it was outside. I was glad to get back home to my warm house.

I’ve got to agree completely, the best part of walking in the cold rain is getting back to a warm home. ๐Ÿ˜Š You’ve probably told us before, but I missed it … I’m wondering what kind of device you are using to record your steps. Wow, 12K+ is really great. Have a happy weekend and say HI to Ken.

Hello,
We had rain in the morning and then it was really cold and windy.
Not my kind of walking weather. Have a happy weekend!

Planning ahead really comes in handy for a day like you had on Friday. Glad you made it home safely. That's a big drop in temps! Have a good weekend.

Morning walks are the best! I too love to walk about 4-5 miles a day with my dogs. It is my best time of the day! We've had an interesting winter here too. So nice to enjoy a comfy warm house, whenever we have to leave, knowing it is a safe delightful place to return to! So many blessings to be thankful for!

You certainly count your blessings! It is a pleasure to read your post. Love God and be happy! I'm impressed by how much you walk. I walk less than 2 miles every morning and feel virtuous. Got to step it up! Thanks for the inspiration

You had a busy and productive day. Pizza was a good idea for supper. That's what we had too.
