Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sweatshirt escapes

Pretty warm at 49 degrees this morning for walking.
Just a slight breeze with a mix of sun and clouds.
Sunrise 7:08
Walking Steps 12665

First walked over to the post office to mail a birthday card.
Then around the ball park loop a few times,
both of the cemeteries and then just around town.

Went down to the 'girls' and they mooed loudly when I left.

Saw Lisa walking and we walked a short ways together.
Haven't seen her in a long time.
She went on a 10 day cruise.
Then got sick with the flu
and to top it off broke two of her toes.
Things can only get better for her now!!

Kermit was out working in his yard so stopped to talk to him.
He LIKES to talk and sometimes it is hard to get back to walking.

Saw a couple of rabbits and lots of geese and quite a few crows too.

🌤    🥾    🐄    🐇

It got very windy after I got back home but I put the laundry
out on the line anyway.
Things dried super fast but I looked out one time and noticed
an orange sweatshirt was gone.
Ken went out to look for it and found it over by the side of the garage.
I hung it back up with a few extra clothes pins.

Finished up some housework and then read this afternoon.
Also picked out the colors for the next baby blanket
and will start making some squares this evening.

That's it for today.
Hope you had a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Poor Lisa! Glad she is doing better.
Your photos today are so pretty!
I can't remember the name of that house - Drake? Anyway, I always love to see it and this is a great photo.

I always like sky/cloud pictures. We had cloudy skies too when we walked this morning. It was quite a nice day for Feb. Poor Lisa has been having a streak of bad luck.

That's funny, a sweatshirt escaped from off the clothesline...it's usually a sock. Glad Ken found it. Your pictures are so pretty.

Yikes! Lisa has had a rough patch. It's a good sign that she is back walking. Kermit sounds like the friendly type...bet he knows a lot about the town and what's happening.

Guess that windy weather is arriving here tomorrow. They're already squawking about power outages.

That's wild about the sweatshirt.

I love your beautiful first photo, with the yellow on the horizon.

I love your pictures today ~so vivid and bright. If those girls are like ours they thought you might give them more to eat.

oh no, the flu and broken toes? definitely nowhere to go but up.
I guess that sweatshirt wanted to go for a walk on it's own :)

Beautiful photos, love the sky and clouds. I hope you friend Lisa is recovering well, at least she is able to get out and walk. It is a shame the goats are fighting, they still look very cute.
Take care, have a happy day!

Hi Karen. Glad you found your escaped sweatshirt! I love that picture of the clouds you took. The lighting on it is beautiful. See you again Thursday!

Beautiful light in your photos. Poor Lisa. Glad things are looking up. That is some good wind to move a sweatshirt like that. Lots to ponder in that quote.

The sky is absolutely stunning, it looks like a beautiful day indeed, I am happy Lisa is able to walk, I am still not able to get out and exercise, and we have had some beautiful weather too! Oh! well, this will soon pass!
I love clothes that have been kissed by the sun especially sheets.
Blessings,
Sue

The sky in that one photo is gorgeous . . . I really like the words at the end of your post. Something to work on . . . usually I'm there but Satan has a way of sneaking into our minds and cause our thoughts to get off base with the Lord's. I just have to remember that he is a liar.
