Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Little Sun

Once again couldn't walk in town and got all my steps in down the basement.

Grocery shopping this morning at the Shop and Save.

A picture from the parking lot of a couple of the Ski slopes at Wisp.

We go through town on the way to get to the Shop and Save
and I got a good look at the side roads and sidewalks - not good for walking.
Made a good decision to walk inside today.
Have a feeling I'll be walking inside tomorrow too.
More snow and freezing rain is supposed to be on its way.
Well, I am thankful that I do have the basement for walking.

Nice to see a little bit of the sun this afternoon.
We took a drive to Grantsville to the library there and picked out a few DVD's.
As we arrived the Amish buggy was leaving.

Didn't get any more house cleaning done today.
That will have to wait until tomorrow.

Never did finish the afghan yesterday but maybe this evening.
Knitted a little this afternoon but mostly read.

That's going to be it for today.
Hope your Tuesday was a good one.
Thanks for visiting.

...it's been quite a while since we have seen sunshine. Enjoy it while you can.

It's 68 degrees right now and nice in the sun but still cold when I go into the shade. I think the snow in the mountains makes the breezes very cold. It was nice sitting with my face toward the sun. It felt so nice.

Have you thought about getting a treadmill?

I like seeing the ski slopes. We are to get a wintry mix tomorrow.

It's interesting that Amish buggies can be seen all over now. We have several Amish communities within a thirty mile radius. They have wonderful baked goods and amazing produce in season. Tomorrow will bring snow and freezing rain here as well. Not looking forward to it.

Hi Karen. Charly and I walked outside today for the first time since Saturday. It is still bitter cold, gray and cloudy, but we have a couple of days respite from snow and rain. I think it is certainly wise for you to walk in the basement when it's icy outside. Stay safe and warm. See you again soon!

Glad you have another option for your walking. We've seen little sunshine around these parts, too. Fun to see the Amish buggy!

Winter gives opportunity for different views along Ken’s tracks and of the snowy ski slopes, both of which I enjoy. We are getting snow tonight, so Millie and I will have a different trail to walk in the morning.

Snow is one thing but freezing rain is worse. That just gets scary.

The buggy looks nice. Great scenery in the snow.

God bless.

Hello,
Pretty view of the ski slopes. We had a sunny day too, a little windy.
Today we may have a little snow changing to rain.
Take care, have a happy day!

Being originally from Colorado, I always laugh at the Eastern "ski slopes". Why, they aren't even high enough for a good sled ride!!

The ski slopes are neat to see! It's windy here today but not cold. (I don't like walking in the wind. lol) Enjoy your day and stay warm!

We're getting snow later in the day here as well.

We had a break from the rain today, instead the sun shined all day.

Snow and freezing rain doesn't make for a pleasant walk. Hopefully that kind of weather won't last long. It's good that you have the basement to walk in when it's too nasty outside.

I love to read this one, in the morning. The quote was inspiring and I copied it for myself. Thank you so much for this one.

We only get a few minutes of sun here and there.
