Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sidewalks clear

44 degrees and cloudy for walking.
Showers were predicted early this morning but it never did rain on my walk.
Sunrise 7:37
Walked 6 miles

All the snow and ice is now gone except for little bits of it here and there.
Nice to be able to walk on the sidewalk once again.

Walked all over town, up and down the main road and the side streets as well.
Didn't want to get too far away from the Jeep incase it started raining.
Walked around both of the cemeteries.

KitCat came over to get a pet.
Don't even have to call to him now, he just comes over by me.

Saw a runner who I've never seen before.
Maybe one of her New Years resolutions is to exercise.

Not much happening around town, very quiet.

This morning we went to town and got a few errands done.

Once back home I baked a couple loaves of English muffins as requested by Ken.

Was going to take the latest puzzle apart but waiting till David and Liz see it.
I'm all set to start another one.

Another afternoon of puttering about doing a little sewing weave-its, reading, and knitting.

New Years Eve is just another regular day here at our house.
We usually go to bed between 11 and 11:30 and we'll do the same tonight.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
I wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Wow! You folks are night owls. I'm doing well to get past 9:30. I think the fireworks will keep me up for a while tonight.

Things change quickly there in the weather department. It is good for you to be able to walk all over town once again.

Happy New Year! ๐ŸŽ†

The snow is all gone here too and it rained most of yesterday.
You stayed up later than I did for New Years eve. I was in bed at 9.
Happy New Year.

Hello,

We have not had any snow yet, it did rain yesterday and the temperatures are mild. The homemade english muffins sound yummy. I wish you and yours all the best in 2023, a happy and healthy New Year!

We also went to bed at our normal time but were woken by very loud fireworks or maybe fire crackers, whatever they were they kept us awake for half an hour after which time I had trouble falling back asleep. Nice that your sidewalks are once again clear.

Clear sidewalks are so welcomed. Glad you could walk freely. The puzzle here is sitting framed and ready for us to fill in the center. It's a hard one. Happy New Year's official holiday Monday!

New year's Day was eventful here, with a near city wide water main break! Ughhhhh...
