Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A trip to Bedford

25 degrees this morning when I walked.
It was cloudy except for the short time the sky was this
beautiful pink.
Sunrise 7:30
Walked 6 miles

Walked all around town, up and down the side streets.
The ball park and both cemeteries.

Walked with the Phil the Wiggle man a half block.
He walked from the post office to the car dealership.

The two sheds being fixed up are finished and the guys
were there today doing some cleanup.
Told them they did a good job and asked if they
were going to tackle the house next.
No, no plans for the house.
It will probably be torn down.
Didn't want to take a picture of the sheds while they were
still there, but will the next time I pass by.

Walking around the ball park loop here.

Thought this gravestone was a bit different.
A bit hard to read but think it says.

GEORGE BEITZEL
BORN IN GERMANY
DIED FEB 15,1888
AGED 78 YS & 11 MS

ANNA B HIS WIFE
DIED IN GERMANY

AGED 42 YS & 4 MS

I dropped off the slippers I knitted for Kinsley where she
goes to Daycare. (Pam's house who was in charge of the cookie sale)
I wrapped them and put then in a Christmas bag.
Pan hung the bag on Kisley's hook so she probably got them after school.

On my way to town I saw three deer and on the way home
saw 2 more.  Nice to start seeing the deer again. I think they have
been in hiding during deer hunting season.

Took a picture of these two on my way home.
You can see one good against the sky.
The other one hard to see against the trees.

9:45 this morning we left home and drove up to Bedford, PA
and delivered the Roman's scriptures that we all put together.
Unloaded those and loaded up another 25 bundles to put together.
That would be 21,000 books when completed.

As usual we stopped at Wendy's for lunch and had Spicy Chicken
sandwiches on the way back.

We took the bundles directly to church and unloaded them.
Now we are all set to go for January.

On the way home from church we stopped at the library to
pick up another DVD.
Connie made a couple of Rudolf ornaments for us.
Aren't they cute!

We got back home a little after 4:00.

I put off icing the cookies again till tomorrow because our Babies
for Blankets luncheon was postponed till Friday.
Supposed to be getting an ice storm tonight.

Well that going to be it for today.
Happy Wednesday

Christmas is not just a time for festivity and merry making.
It is more than that.
It is a time for the contemplation of eternal things.
The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving.

Comment Replies:
Debi - No we don't glue our puzzles together.  We keep them to do again. Eventually we do give them away.

Deb - The current Roman books we are doing are in Spanish. We have done other languages, French, Swahili, and even English.

Jennifer - We bring and pick up the scriptures at Beacon of Truth. It is off Rte 30 by a car dealership.  There is also a camp ground nearby.
That would be so cool if both of our churches were involved with the same ministry!!

The rudolph ornaments are adorable. And your first photo of the purple sky is gorgeous! We are getting the ice storm as well.

Is that antlers on the deer against the trees? Ice storm? Yuck. I hope the weather frogs are wrong. Frosting cookies will be a good bad weather day project.

I'm assuming the wife's remains stayed in Germany.

You got a great picture of the two deer, especially the one seen so clearly against the sky.
I see your sunrise was at 7:30; ours was at 7:57.

That is a gorgeous sunrise! I like the deer photo too.
That man must have immigrated on his own and his wife died young. Sad...
I like the ornaments.
I didn't know you did the books in other languages. What a great ministry!

An ice storm does not sound good. Best to stay home during one. The Rudolph ornaments are sweet. Glad you made it back and forth safely to deliver the books.

Deer also have rut season that keeps 'em busy! lol
Gorgeous morning sky photo. The headstone is a good one ... I enjoy reading them myself and wonder what their lives were like

Stay snuggled and safe during the ice storm. (Cute ornaments).

That sky is beautiful.
Those reindeer are cute. They remind me of the lollipop holders I'm making.

Those deer are searching for Father Christmas. Have they tried the pub?

God bless.

I hope the temps warm up quickly, we could get more rain than ice.
Take care, enjoy your day!
