Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Work Day

32 degrees, clear, and calm for walking this morning.
Sunrise 7:34

Walked up and down the streets in down and
around both cemeteries and the ball park.
Then around town a little more.
Walked 6 miles

This morning all the bulls walked over to the gate
to see me.

On my way to town I saw a deer and a rabbit run across the road.
In town saw a couple of blue jays at a bird feeder.

The garage in town is part of the car dealership across the street.
Most mornings I see the salesman and he waves from inside or says
 good morning if he's outside.
This morning he was outside and this was the first time we stopped
and talked.  His name is Phil.

Farmer Marvin stopped in his truck when I was up his way
to say hi.  I asked about his new huge barn.
It is 30 x 644 and is for his 150, as he called them, Mama Cows.
He wants to keep them in the barn during the winter.

Stopped for a little chat with Lisa and Dwayne when we were
walking around the cemetery on top of the hill.

Just a little frost on the mirror so only room for
a little message.

☀️    🥾    🐄

Did my usual morning chores this morning and then 11:00 we
headed out to church for another
Fingerprint Ministry work day.
We started working at 11:45 and got home 5:45.
The day zoomed right by.
Nice to be home to relax, watch a DVD,
Make some weave-it squares and of course have some ice cream.
Might even have time for a little reading.
It's been a good day.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Friday

The bulls certainly seem to get accustomed to you.

That was a long day working at church. No wonder you needed to come home and relax. I find the days pass so quickly, it's evening before you know it.

That barn is huge! I knew it was big but could not even guess. That is over a tenth of a mile long.

That is a long workday but I bet it was fun day.

You had a long day! Nice to be able to talk to so many people today - and be greeted by the bulls!
I missed yesterdays post. I love the photo of the Drane house!

Wow, that's six hours of work! I hope you got a break or a snack. Everyone loves you, even the bulls!

Hi Karen. That is a cool picture of the bulls. That is so wonderful that you and Ken put in so much time working on the Fingerprint Ministry. What a wonderful way to bring others to Christ! Have a good weekend. See you tomorrow!

I watch Pete at Just a Few Acres Farm vlog on You Tube. He is such a kind man who loves his animals. I think Farmer Marvin must be a lot like him. Sounds like a long, but productive day at church. You got home late! Did you have supper together while there? Have a nice weekend.

I clicked the tab about your town. Interesting about the Drane house. I also enjoyed learning more about your town.

God bless.

You stay busy all the time. But it keeps life interesting, doesn't it? Enjoy your weekend!

The cows will enjoy being in the barn for the winter.

I had wondered if Farmer Marvin would put the bulls in the barn. I now wonder if the Mama Cows will be having their calves inside the barn this winter. Our cows just seek out the cedar thickets and do the best they can with their newborns. Of course, our winters aren't as severe as yours, but severe enough...
