Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Light Snow

31 degrees this morning and light snow falling as I walked.
Sunrise was at 7:32 but never did see it.
Walked 5.5 miles

Walked up and town the streets in town,
around the ball park
and the lower cemetery.

Didn't see anyone else out walking or doing anything.

The snow was very light but it fell the whole time I was walking.

🌨    πŸ₯Ύ    πŸ™‚

Did the usual chores around the house this morning.

This snow really doesn't count as the first snow because it was such a little bit
BUT
since we start a puzzle with the first snow
and we wanted to do a puzzle we decided to count this dusting. πŸ™‚πŸ§©
We spent a good part of the afternoon
doing the first puzzle of the season.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Wednesday

Any reason is a good reason to start a puzzle. A reason to not start one is when the table you work a puzzle on is setting full of stuff. As mine is now. I hope to work more on stuff after a bit...but needed a break.

...We had a frost and then rain on and off.

Maybe you will show the puzzle when you are done. The dusting of snow makes everything look so pretty!

We were supposed to get a sprinkling of snow, but thankfully it didn't come. It's so cold though!
It does look pretty over those colorful leaves.
Nice to start a puzzle.

Snow? 😡‍πŸ’«

Good thing you started a puzzle.

The light snow does look pretty on the sumac.

Hope it is soon gone and that you don't get more
until it's time.

First snow!! We are a little delayed this year but they are talking about a little next week. I like the tradition of starting a puzzle at first snow. Since 2/3rds of our kids will be here this weekend I need to put off a puzzle until next week! Happy puzzling to you!

Hi Karen. We are supposed to get our first snow this weekend. We have had a beautiful fall, but alas, all good things must come to an end. Besides, I am kind of looking forward to winter. See you again tomorrow!

I love your snowy day pictures! By our standards this would be counted as the first snow. Yay for the first puzzle.

That's probably about what we got here also. When I left for work it was still dark so I couldn't see what was on the ground. I only saw what was on my vehicle.
Sounds like a good reason to start a puzzle to me.

Good tradition for puzzle time!! If we did that, we'd do a puzzle about every 10-20 years. lol
Pretty photos. I like your new camera.

Good to see the first snow- we don't have snow here in our region- so it is all very mysterious-snow.

Hello,

It looks like a pretty light dusting of snow, that's the kind of snow I like. Just a little bit. I started a new puzzle too. Take care, enjoy your day!

Snow, already but then you do love other the water. At the moment we have some rain but temperature is still reasonably warm. Snow gives the place a whole different look

How amazing to have a light snow this early! We had a cold night...in the 40s here so we needed a blanket on the bed! Love your bed with the quilt hung over the head of the bed. You have a beautiful home.

Keep that snow right there! I am NOT ready for it--of course, I am never ready for it. Happy fall walks. xo Diana

Wow. Even a dusting of snow would make the news here! The last few years, we’ve had a few inches in December and everyone loves it. Today should be our last day of 90 degree temperatures - as we get closer to Fall temperatures of 70 degrees. I’m so excited. Time to pack away most of my worn out summer wear and say hello to my jeans and sweaters. Snow makes everything look like a wonderland.

Wonder how long the dusting lasted? Not long usually, but depends on the temps and on the strength of the sun.

Glad to counted this, as snow, and began the puzzle. -smile-

A dusting of snow isi not bad. It won't last long once the sun returns. Puzzle time of the year returns, have fun.

Definately not ready for the white stuff. Though we were only 31 here this am as well. Had a freeze warning for last night, and have had multiple frost nights...so, it's definately getting colder. I've been raking the yard recently so haven't gone for a walk. If the weather folks are right, it might be nice this wkend and warm up enough that I will want to get out and walk. Fingers crossed. Keep stepping.

No snow yet here, but it's just a matter of time.
