Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A touch of frost

 The Morning Moon

34 degrees this morning and once the sun rose at 7:23
it was sunny with some frost around.

Walked 5.8 miles

Went to the library first and dropped a book down the slot.
Then walked around town till it got light.

The pond was like glass and so pretty with the reflection.

Walked around both cemeteries.
I melted the frost off the mirror with my finger as I wrote the message.

Walked back through town and around the ball park.
Saw a new man walking his dog around the ball park.

None of the regulars were out walking that I saw.

Saw 5 rabbits this morning
and the cemetery cat came over again for a pet.

I like the red and orange leaves best but the yellow is pretty too
especially against the blue sky.

☀️    🥾    🍁

Did housework in the morning.

Read in the afternoon and worked on the gingham bedspread.
Will sew another row this evening.
I have 4 squares done for the last row.
Have tomorrow and Wednesday to try to finish before I have
to start on another baby blanket.

That's all for today.
Thanks for popping in.
Happy Monday😊

Hill Top - You are right, Farmer Marvin is the one having the new barn built and the bulls are his. At the top of the hill at the entrance to the cemetery, turning right on the farm road goes down to the bulls and the Drane house.  Turning left takes you to the new barn.  The cemetery as farm land on all sides.

Ginny - Yesterdays picture is a driveway between trees.  Took this picture this morning in the same spot but without the sun shining through.  The road on the left leads to one cemetery and the road on the right leads to the cemetery on top of the hill.

I love that last photo...loved yesterdays view of it, too. If I can remember I am going to look at the satellite view of that area and see if I can see it.

Your first 3 pictures are beautiful! Love the frost in the cemetery and that pond is like a mirror!

No frost yet, but it could happen quickly here.

I found it...and happened to notice the Drane House has some photos posted...one of them was inside! It was an excellent photo...well all three were. But the inside one really impressed me.

What beautiful colors in your photos today. That pond shot is spectacular. Not quite ready to see the frost yet, but it is only a matter of time.

Thanks for the answer to my question, that is so unusual. Your photos are so beautiful today. Gorgeous reflection, and the frosty cemetary is a real beauty.

I love the pictures from your walk today - especially the picture of the pond. Our temps still haven't gotten down low enough for morning frost, but they will before long I am sure. I love this time of year and the beautiful fall leaves. I hope your week is going well.

Wow frost. That’s amazing to me while we are still hot. It’s getting to be annoying.

Your photos are so pretty. I love the pond photo. The cool crisp air does make for some nice photos. Sounds like a nice walk but a bit too chilly for me.

We've had a frost here already too. It just feels too early for that.
