Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

60 Years

On this first day of Fall I walked in a misty rain for a while
and then it was just cloudy.
Pretty windy out there too.
64 degrees so on the warm side.
Walked 5.6 miles
Sunrise 7:05

It is nice walking early and watching a new day come alive.
Dark now when I start walking so stay on the main street
under the street lights.
I watch the lights go off one by one as it starts to get light.

Walked all around town, the ball park loop and the cemetery
up on the hill.

Even in the misty rain the guys were up on the roof working on the barn.
One side looks done and they were on the other side today.

I saw both Lisa and Rebecca out running instead of walking.

🌧    ☁️    💨    🥾

It was Blankets for Babies work day at church.
A week later in the month then usual because it was cancelled last week.
A few people were out of town so there were 8 of us there.
Jane brought breakfast and Dorothy gave the devotional.

This Saturday we are having an open house at our church
for its 60th Anniversary.
In our brand new building tables have been set up with all the
different ministries that go on at our church.
This will be a way of inviting people around the area to see what
our church is all about and inviting them to become a part of it.

Ken came along to church today with me and got started setting up the
Fingerprint Ministry table.
After blankets I helped.

There are 14 different ministries represented.

We got home early afternoon but by that time I didn't feel
like doing any work so just puttered about the house till
it was time to cook supper.

That's all for today.
Happy Thursday 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.

A busy active church you have. It doesn't work unless the people are involved like you and Ken are.

It was another cold and rainy day here. I'm so ready to see the sun. ☀️

That forst picture is so pretty. It would make a good jigsaw puzzle. Must take a lot of work from a lot of devoted people to keep all the minestries going. That's wonderful.
