Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Brownies

Forgot to post this picture from yesterday.
Ken taking a picture of me taking a picture.
He's a sly one. πŸ˜ƒ

This morning was baking time.
I baked 60 brownies for the kids at Sunday School.
Put numbers and letters on them because it was a celebration
for going back to school.

David came over and he and Ken did a little work on his Jeep.
Liz came over too and we had another nice visit.

Felt more like fall today.
Lots of blue sky, big fluffy clouds and only in the 60's.

Friday! and you know what that means!!
Pizza Day!
As usual I made the dough and Ken the pizza.

Thinking about going to town tomorrow morning and starting back
to walking.  I'll just go a couple of miles to start out.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
A happy Friday to you.πŸ™‚

The brownies are cute! So is the picture of you taking a picture. :) I thought that was at your church but it says a radio station? Does your church do radio?
Glad you are close to getting out walking again.

Hi Karen. I love the brownies you made for the kids at church. That is so nice of you and makes going to church a positive thing for the children. I am glad that your ankle has healed up enough that you will start walking again. Glad you and Liz had another nice visit. Sounds like you and her have a good relationship. I hope you have a good weekend. See you again tomorrow. :-)

The brownies are perfect for school! Don't walk too far that you would not be able to get back if need be!

I'll bet the people in town will be happy to see you in the morning. The kids will love those oh-so-delicious looking brownies. Ken got a great picture of you.

Great job on the Brownies. I'm sure the children will love them. Are there 60 children in your Sunday School? For a small town that's a lot of kids.

Those are cute brownies. It was cooler here yesterday, in the 70s. Perhaps that 60s weather is headed our way, but I really enjoyed the 70s day spent at Laurel's home on the Carrabassett (for the last time). It was a glorious day.

Hi Karen, I just discovered that while I wasn’t paying attention you fell down on August 3rd. Sure sorry to hear about that incident and hurting your ankle. Happy to hear that your recovery is going well and you are back to some short walks. You sure did a fine job of keeping your blog going even while not able to walk. I really enjoy the way you keep track of your daily activities. Hope you are back to 100% soon. Take good care! John
