Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sunny morning walk

πŸ˜€ Happy to say I went walking this morning.πŸ˜€
Sunrise 6:28
It was 50 degrees and sunny.
Nice and cool so wore my sweatshirt in the beginning.

First walked up to the cemetery.

On the misty mirror where I leave messages I wrote,
I'm Back :)

Went down to see the bulls and they weren't in the barn yard
but in this pasture where the little horses usually are.
Guess the bulls are being the lawn mowers.
First one looked up at me.

Then another one,

and he came over to the fence to take a look at me up close.

Going back down the hill to the pond took a picture of a couple
of rabbits.  One is easy to see the other not so easy, but there are two.

Walked over to the ball park and walked around there twice.
Concrete slabs were poured on both sides while I've been gone
where the bleachers go.

Saw John, Roger, and Rebecca - all walking dogs.
All of them asked where I've been.
Seems I was missed.

I walked slower than usual and not as far.
It took me 65 minutes to walk 3 miles.
I wore my high top hiking shoes for better ankle support.
All in all I think pretty good for the fist time back to walking.

☀️    πŸ₯Ύ    🌻

This morning we drove over to church again and delivered
the brownies for the Sunday School kids.

We had one more fence post to put in the ground and now
the fence job is completed too.

Ken needed some mortar mix and a tub to mix it in
so we made a stop at Lowe's also.

Back home I dead headed the daisies out front.
While I was doing that one of the deer came by.

In the afternoon I picked a couple more strawberries
and ate them.
Strawberries is the only thing that seems to be growing in the garden.

Did a little knitting and reading too before supper.

Thanks for popping in for a visit.
A happy Saturday to you.πŸ™‚

And does the ankle feel good? So glad that you will not bull your way back. I don't know why I worry about that when you never have before. You are smart with your health.

...we had similar, chilly morning with a lot of dew. Fall is in the air.

Hi Karen. I am glad to hear that you are back to walking, but are still taking it slow. I will have to check out that radio station. Sounds interesting. See you again tomorrow!

I am sure the bulls are enjoying some late summer grazing. Your first two pictures really strike my fancy. I still think you would have made a great cowgirl. I turned my ankle once when I was a quite a way from home and had no way to get in touch with anyone to come get me. It was a long painful hobble home. After that, I bought high top Keens and wear them every day. I have walked through wet grass so much with my old pair that they are literally coming apart. Tomorrow I am wearing a new brown pair.

What a gorgeous butterfly and Coneflower photo! So the deer are pretty tame? Cows are very curious!

I am glad you were able to resume your walking today! It was a nice cool morning here, too. This seems very late for strawberries, though I’m only familiar with the growing season where I live. Take care!

In my humble opinion you did great for a first walk after your mishap.

It must have felt so good to be out there walking again. Did your ankle bother you at all?

Interesting walk you did that morning. The cemetery is very similar to some of ours here in the UK
