I didn't go for a walk today but did give my ankle a workout!
We left this morning at 7:30 with the trailer hooked up to the truck
and went to the quarry to get a load of gravel.
Next stop the lumber yard in town and picked up some plastic
sheeting and a couple of rails for the fence
and then to church.
When we got to church we put down the plastic and then
covered it with the gravel.
It has a lot of dust on it and after it rains will look more red.
The end result.
Sure looks better than this before picture.
We took a lunch break and then finished up around 2:00.
Once at home we got the tools put away, got cleaned up and
then it was time for sitting out on the porch.
David and Liz were just getting home, checking out the mail box for mail
and saw us sitting on the porch.
They came up the driveway and sat there with us for a while.
❤️ I love when they pop over for a visit. ❤️
Some of you might wonder if we still have a dish of ice cream
each evening. YES. Not every single evening but certainly most.
Thanks so much taking the time to read my blog.
A happy day to you.🙂

...what an improvement!
Wow, you and Ken do a lot of service at the church. That is so wonderful. It looks like you made a big improvement with you labors today. I am glad that your ankle is healing. That is so nice that you get to see so much of David and Liz. What a blessing! See you again tomorrow.
It sure is nice to live up there and get to enjoy nature sitting on your porch! Take care
That was a lot of work! But it looks so nice.
I enjoy pop in visitors too. People don't seem to do that as much as they used to.
Yes! It looks so much nicer. I'm sure that your ankle got a work-out. Always nice to have family stop by. Porch visits are great.
Most evenings I'll have some ice cream.
You made a really nice little spot!
Hope that ankle is getting well enough to walk on soon. I know you must miss your walks.
Wow, that's a huge difference in the garden. It looks fantastic.
If I have ice cream in my freezer I will have some every night until it's gone.
Thank you for your work at the church.
God bless.
Looks beautiful, you did a great job!
Take care, enjoy your day!
OK, I just love the church garden idea. How precious! A quiet place to sit and pray. It looks nice.
My mom will eat a bow of ice cream every night. She says it makes her sleep better.

Job well done!
Happy to know that you are on the mend.
Very nice to have pop~in visitors, and it sounds like you had a nice day.

It looks really nice! You and Ken are such hard workers at home and at church. I'm always telling my daughters to come see us any time...to pop in and surprise me. But they both live a little more than an hour away in opposite directions. Kinda hard to pop in. I would love that. Glad your ankle is feeling better.
You've done a splendid job of it at the Church - what a transformation!
What a great improvement. Worth your effort.
I love how neat the church garden looks.
That sure made a big difference in the looks of the church garden. You and Ken did a great job.
The two of you did a nice job on that area at church. I like it when we get pop in visitors, too. Hope you are having a nice weekend.
