Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

4 miles

62 degrees this morning and cloudy.

Walked around both cemeteries and the ball park
and down to see the bulls.

Some bulls were still in the pasture where the horses used to be
though you can't see any in the first picture.
As you can see the bulls were pretty good lawn mowers.

There were three bulls in the barnyard.

I saw Roger walking his dog and we stopped for a little chat.
Bill (town worker) was spraying something all around the edge of the pond.

Went passed the bank to see the progress being made on the drive thru.

Another house in town to watch being worked on.
This part in back has had a couple of layers taken off and is
down to the original boards.

Walked 4 miles and I think I'll do that the rest of this week.

☁️    🥾    🌻

It was supposed to rain today so didn't wash the sheets
but it was just cloudy so could have washed them after all.

Got the house vacuumed and then did some shredding for an hour or so.
We keep the things to be shredded in an old box and it was getting pretty full.
Didn't finish but made a good start.
I don't know why I let the pile get so big before doing it because
I like to shred.

Made a few weave-it squares.
These are for my yellow and white bedspread I've be been working
on for ever so long.  I just work on it in between baby blankets.
Can see the end coming soon though..

Supper tonight was one of those salads with everything.
Lettuce
toasted croutons
red bell pepper
celery
pecans
cheddar cheese
craisins
carrots
ham
Topped off with Ken's Lite Walnut Raspberry dressing

That's all I have for today.
Happy Monday to you.🙂

Rain sounds so good to me. Cloudy weather sounds nice, too. You're doing good, soon you'll be walking your full 6 miles.

Hi Karen. Your salad looks delicious! I really like salads of all kinds. So glad that you are back up to four miles for your walk. I like to shred things too - until the shredder gets jammed ;-) . Have a good Tuesday. See you then.

The bulls seem quite at ease.

I like the quote...so glad to hear you got to walk. It is amazing how quick accidents happen.

It will be fun to watch the house and see what they do to it.

Four miles! Things are going well. My shred basket is overflowing, too, but I dislike the job. I did find a check for $13 last week so it is worth checking those envelopes. ☺️

Lots going on in your town. I always think of it as a bustling place.

I put all of my stuff to be shredded into a box and then a few times a year they have a shredding company come to our town and I bring everything there! The only bad part is I don't watch them shred my stuff but it's a reputable company so I trust them!

Good for you for taking it in steps to get back to your full 6 miles. Your salad sounds delicious. I got some bug so I'm working at 1/4 speed right now.

We actually burned out the motor in a shredder by using it for too long at a time. Now we try to keep up-to-date with shredding.
