57 degrees and cloudy when walking this morning.
Kept to my 4 miles which I will do this week, probably. π
Walked around the ball park loop and around town.
A couple of streets I walked along.
I like these green doors and they are the doors that Kermit
will be putting on the green house he is making.
Workers were at the bank.
Other workers I'm pretty sure are putting a front porch on a house.
Could be an addition but seems more like a porch.
Once again I saw John out walking his dog.

Our neighbors barn
We went food shopping at Casselman's Market first thing after breakfast.
Though it was cloudy it wasn't supposed to rain so I washed
the sheets today. Glad I did because the sun came out.
Got some more shredding done and cleaned the bathroom.
Walked around outside and picked a few weeds out of the gravel.
We are still getting a few strawberries.
We sat on the porch and ate apples.
Then threw the cores off the porch into the woods.
The deer will eat them.
Supper this evening was
onions and peppers and rice in a burrito shell with a little sour cream.
When slicing onions, after peeling them, I run them under cold water.
It keeps me from crying.
Works every time.
Do you have any hints for slicing onions without crying?
Thanks so much for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

GrannyM - I've done the exact same thing with a shredder, that's why I only do an hour or so at a time. π

Great "Heloise" hint for slicing onions!!
I like those green doors, too! Who doesn’t like old barns? Thanks for the onion tip.
...thing are so green there, it's brown here!
I love those green doors! And I always like to see barns.
Thanks for the onion tip.
You live in shuc a beautiful place. I love the color of these new doors!
Deer do like apple.
Those green doors are nice. Maybe Kermit will let you show us all a picture of his project when he is finished. Glad you are walking without pain. Your dinner sounds very good! I will have to try that way of slicing onions. I usually ask Charly to slice the onions for me and that is how I keep from having watery eyes when I slice onions. ;-) See you again tomorrow.
I can almost read between the lines and see that you are already wanting to stretch those legs out and go another couple of miles. :~) Early mornings will be getting chilly as we slip into September. I always look forward to the first morning I get to wear a jacket.
Green doors for a greenhouse___perfect.
You're right about my samplers being cross stitch. I don't know why I called it needlepoint. I'll blame it on my age.
Love those green doors.
It always looks so peaceful on the roads you walk.
I don't have any hints for slicing onions but my cousin used to swear that if you started cutting from the bottom it would keep you from crying. It didn't work for me.
Your strawberries look great. Well done.
God bless.
Hello,
I love the green doors and the barn. It is nice to be able to grow and pick your own strawberries. I let my hubby cut the onions. Take care, enjoy your day!
Looks like a very nice day, indeed!
Glad your deer will clean up your apple cores... *smile*.
I had to chop onions for a canning recipe last night and threw them in the food processor. I still teared up, even with the cold water running on the peeled onions.
Must mean that they are good ones, haha!

I like the green doors too! Enjoy the rest of your week.
I also like the color of those doors! Your dinner sounds good!
And you don't have to cover the strawberries, to keep the birds from them!!!!!!!

Love those green doors. Looks like you had a nice walk. If I'm going to cut a lot of onions I'll use my onion goggles. :)
