62 degrees this morning when I went walking.
Some early morning fog around, then a mix of sun and clouds.
Walked past a dead skunk in the road that got hit by a car.
It definitely was a skunk (can't mistake that smell)
but I didn't see any white stripe.
Looked it up and there are just black skunks but they are rare and
extremely rare are all white ones.
Another corn picture in the same spot to show how tall it is getting.
It's as tall as me now.
(5'5")
The Drane house garden with the house in the background.
Walked around the cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Didn't see anyone else out walking this time.
Walked up Sale Barn Road.
These are Farmer Marvin's cows and bulls too.
This cow looks like she is about to have her calf any moment!!
Walked 6 miles
🥾 🌤 🌸
Did the usual morning chores around the house.
Went outside and did a little weeding.
David and Liz were in Florida on a little holiday and got
back last night. They stopped by this afternoon after work.
We sat out on the front porch and had a nice visit.
That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.🤗

living in the past and observing others.

Tom - Yes, the white flowers are yucca. I thought the pink flowers were Rose Spirea Salicifolia that you identified a week or so ago.

Always count on cattle to notice you.
...perhaps it's Spirea salicifolia, but the grouping of pink flowers are so wide. I would expect the flowers to come a point and the leaves don't look right. It looks like a perennial to me and not a woody shrub like spirea.
It's a hot time to be in Florida but I hope they had fun! I would rather be walking with you at your temps...if I could keep up! lol Enjoy your evening!
I had no idea there are skunks without stripes!!
Dead skunk - that is an unmistakable smell!
Love the corn pic! Yours is taller than mine. That garden looks really good.
I like the cows too.
We are all too familiar with skunk! Hope we never hit one with our car. That garden looks very nice at the Drane House. That cow looks ready to pop for sure! Dear is just sitting down with his ice cream, made me think of you.
The gardens at the Drane House look really nice.
Oh you'll have some little calves to watch grow soon. I used to love driving by the sheep farm to see all the lambs. These days, I don't see many farm animals. Wonder what happened to them?
The gardens are looking lush there!
WOW! That corn is really growing. I drove past a field of corn today and it wasn’t that high but was still a good size.
I love these natural plants creating lines and patterns
That garden looks really nice. Someone put a lot of work into that.
Oh dear skunk!! I'd still be smelling it!
Why is there not a perfume or after-shave called Skunk?
God bless.
Hello,
I just love seeing the cattle, they are so cute up close. The Drane house garden looks wonderful. Take care, have a great day!
Ohhh, that soooo neat garden is lovely. A joy to behold. :-)
