Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Blanket Day

A Little warmer this morning at 68 degrees.
A mix of sun and clouds with a nice breeze keeping it cool.
Sunrise 6:07

Saw the usual deer and rabbits on my way to town.

Another walk all around town, both cemeteries and the ball park.
I may walk the same places but always in a different order.
This is around the ball park loop.

The only person I saw this morning was John walking his dog.

Noticed the corn is just started to get some ears growing on it.
Didn't notice the lightning bug till I saw the picture.
You will probably have to enlarge the picture to see it.

The white truck is back on the lot.
Didn't get sold after all.
It is sitting there now with a BIG red bow on it.
One of the salesmen probably brought it home for a day.

Walked 6 miles

🌤    🥾    🌺

Blankets for Babies day at church this morning so left
after breakfast for a work morning and a fun time.
It was Kim's turn to give the devotional
(a volunteer basis)
and then we got busy making blankets
and of course talking which we all do very well.🙂
There were 10 of us there today.
I volunteered to give the devotional next month.

Stopped on the way home to pick up
a couple of things at the Shop and Save.

Just puttered about the house and yard this afternoon.
Ken worked on the BBQ.
It is coming along nicely.
There will also be a pizza oven incorporated in the BBQ as well.
That's the plan anyway.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

Ginny - Don't know what the yellow wild flowers are.  They grow all over the place.
The purple flowers are liatris also known as blazing star.  They aren't the ones in my garden though I do have some.

Granny - Don't know exactly what you mean about the color in the picture, but the gray in the background is fog.

Thanks for the info on the flowers. Oh, a BBQ and a pizza oven will be heavenly!

Sounds like a nice day - too bad about the truck. How long does it take for you to walk 6 miles a day? (rough estimate because I know you stop some and talk to people)

I love that you have the group at church to have fun with and accomplish things as well!
We have lots of lightening bugs around here lately. They are so cool!

Lovely post. I used to be in a blanket making group for a missionary in Africa. We sent them so many blanket one year that the next year they said that they still had blankets and didn't need more, LOL.

Oh, I hit the publish button too soon. When you left your comment on my blog I wasn't sure if it was you. That happens when you change your profile picture. I think that's why some folks have pictures that are a decade or more younger than we are :)

The corn looks so fresh and green...no drought there! I am looking forward to seeing the first pizza that comes out of the new rock oven. What fun!

I love that you are still getting together with the ladies at your church to have fellowship, be encouraged by the Word and do for others. Do you still have goodies to enjoy too?

It will be so neat to have an outdoor pizza oven! We know a family who has one and the pizza is so good baked in it.
