Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

BBQ Progress

 Another beautiful morning walk.
64 degrees and sunny after a little morning fog.

On my way to town I saw 6 deer and a few rabbits one of which
almost got run over!!

Saw Lisa walking and said good morning to a few other people
around town.

Walked around the industrial park.

Then back to the main road and to the curve in the road
where I went up a farm road a short ways and turned around.

Then it was back to town.

Walked around the ball park and then headed back to the Jeep.
No walking around the cemeteries because I ran out of miles.

Walked 6 miles.

☀️    πŸ₯Ύ    🌸

Before going back in the house I walked around the yard.
The cone flowers are blooming again.
The first bunch the deer ate up but these grew back again.

Walking I got a yen for some pancakes so made them for breakfast.

We had to make a trip to the dump to drop off our garbage.
Then stoped in the Shop and Save to see if they had the
bread I like, but they didn't get more in yet.

I made some of those bite size meringue cookies this afternoon.
We have started calling them the Delightful Cookie.

Like most afternoons I sat out on the porch
reading and just sitting there enjoying the scenery.

Have the windows open and a nice breeze is blowing through the house.

It's Friday and lately we've been making pizza on Friday's
so we did that again.
Maybe in the next couple of weeks we can use the outside pizza oven.
Sure hope it turns out because Ken is really putting a
lot of work into it!!

So far.

The front is for the BBQ.
The pizza oven will be above the grill part
and in the back where Ken is standing.
Here he contemplates where the next rock will go.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
And a special thanks to all who take the time to leave a comment.
A happy day to all. πŸ™‚

Dianna - Yes, breakfast is served first thing at Blankets and some one volunteers to bring the food.  I always eat breakfast at home though before I go.

That BBQ and pizza oven are great! I know you and Ken will be making some delicious dinners there. I love the Coneflowers in your yard. Pancakes sound good. I haven't made them for a long time. Hope you have a good weekend. See you again soon!

Ken is very ambitious to make all this out of stones. I’m sure you will enjoy many a meal cooked there.

I hope we will see pictures of the first pizza to come out of Ken's oven. It is looking like there will be lots of rolls of haylage.

I love meringues, and have some lemon ones, and also chocolate ones. The oven is coming along so nicely. Your shot of the fog on the ounntains and pines is beautiful.

The early morning fog is gorgeous. Ken's BBQ is looking great, it won't take long for the deer to check it out. :)

Well as lovely as it is there, it has been brutally hot here and going to get worst tomorrow, Sunday.

Working with that grill - all that rock is hard work. Is all that rock from your property?

I wish I knew what these flowers are, they are beautiful! The oven continues to look better and better. The misty cemetery is so moody and lovely.
