Surprisingly warm this morning when I walked.
46 degrees, windy, and cloudy.
Started out with just three layers and took one off after walking a mile.
My walk took me today through town and around the
industrial park.
You can see how windy it is by how the flags are straight out.
I see this old barn is getting a new roof.
Needs a bit more than a new roof too.
Back in town I walked around the ball park loop
and the cemetery on top of the hill.
Went down to see the bulls and they are pretty muddy now
that it is warm again.
I've named this guy Curly.
He had his head buried while eating but stopped to take a look at me.
Didn't see anyone else out walking.
I'm sure Joy was out there though but we just didn't run into each other.
She is the most regular walker I've come across.
Walked my usual 6 miles
☁️ 🙂 💨
Town Christmas decoration today is a horn.
It is in front of the old Victorian house in town.
🎄 🎄
I made Whole Wheat Bread this morning.
Well, I put the ingredients in the bread machine and it made the bread.
First time I used this recipe.
Delicious, but then I love most breads! 🍞
I've been on a waiting list at the library to read the latest book
in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon,
Go Tell the Bees That I am Gone
on my Kindle for months and I finally got it today.
The Kindle tells me how long it will take to read a book and this
one says 34 hours!
Hope to finish up my current book this evening and get started
on this new one.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your day was a happy one. 🙂

I've seen the book at bookstores ...do tell us if it's good!!
Pretty Christmas horn. And love the bull, Curly.
Ps...it was 65° here this morning & 82° this afternoon.
...warm, breezy and rainy here today. That barn should last a long time with a new roof.
I don't go for rye or pumpernickel, but whole wheat tends to be what I prefer in bread.
I walked in much the same weather as you did. It was so nice not to have to carry an umbrella. I know you never do but you have great rain gear.
I'm a big fan of breads of all sorts too. I hope I never have to go gluten-free.
Curly is just so, so cute. I would not be able to do that roof! Cannot imagine how people work up like that.
It was shirtsleeve weather here today...and could have worn flip flops all day.
34 hours! My kindle tells me how long too and I've never had one near that.
Curly is very cute.
I'm glad they are putting a roof on the barn. They say if the roof is good, the rest does much better.
Hi Karen - wow, 24 hours is a long book! Charly and I are listening to a 19 hour audiobook right now. I read books on my Kindle and phone, but have never checked a book out from the library to read on my phone or Kindle. Have a nice Friday. I won't see you for a couple of days. I am flying to Denver to see family and will be back in blogland probably on Monday. See you then!
Ahh...Curly is a handsome fella. We have had a warm spell here for a few days, too. I'll need to drive down Main street here and see what decorations are up.
No layers were needed here today - only a shirt sleeve. The Outlander series is on my list of books to read someday. Yay for Joy! And, yay for you!
I did not realise it takes 34 hours for a Kindle to read a book. It's good that Kindles can read books on your behalf.
God bless.
Hello,
I like Curly and his buddies! I would think everyone has their own reading speed. Take care, have a great weekend!
I imagine that the owner of the barn is anxious about getting the new roof on before the weather prohibits it.
Love those cute cows, and Curly especially :)
Warm wishes
~K.
Now Curly will be on the lookout for you when you're walking. :)
Wonder why he is so curly...
🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄
Nice to see work being done on the barn ...
All the best Jan
