Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

First what to say Thank You for all the kind
comments about the 'Island'.

61 degrees this morning and some fog around as I started walking.
Walked 6 miles and by that time it was sunny out.

Walking down the main road in town, a car slows down
and I hear, Good Morning, I see you every morning.
I had just enough time to say good morning back as she
continued down the road.
I can't count how often that has happened.

Walked around town and around the industrial park.
Don't usually see anyone walking there but today
Rebecca was there.
John was out walking his dog again today.

This old truck has been for sale a while now.
(Ken would love to have it)
It was sitting there today as I walked by.

Walked down the road some more and then turned around
and on the way back a couple of guys were loading the
truck on tow truck.  Guess it was sold.

Only walked around one of the cemeteries today,
ran out of miles.

👟    👟    👟

Garden Shed Number 18
Looks like another shed is needed for the overflow.

🌼     🌼

I did a few house chores while Ken was busy cleaning
out his wood shop.

After lunch I was outside.
Weeded a little,
transplanted a couple of marigolds,
and walked around a bit.
Then time for a little knitting and reading.

That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. 🙂

Vee - Yes, there is a path leading down to the lower driveway.
It leads around the rocks

and over the bridge.

That photo of the trees with the sun coming up behind them is a great shot.

Charly and I often have people we don't know say hello and mention that they always see us out walking. We are the only couple in our neighborhood (that I know of) that consistently walk together every day. Your place is so fun with all the trails and paths and bridges - such a lovely place to call home!

All the best Jan

Sounds like you live in a very friendly community. Nice of people to stop and say hi to you from their cars. Wonder if whoever owns that shed was cleaning it out and just hasn't put things back yet? That's what I'm hoping. Happy Saturday!

Your home definitely has the right name- Happy Trails. What fun it would be to walk those paths. Now you have me thinking about a pile of old foundation rocks here that badly needs something. I love the old truck. Is it an old Kenworth?

How nice that people slow down to say hello. That shed definitely needs a larger version for all the stuff. Have a wonderful Sunday!

What a nice walk. Your first photo is so beautiful. I love to see one or two people during my walk. Simple saying: ha or hoi or goodmorning.

Those are really big First-Aid bandages lying in the field. Someone must have dropped them from their shopping bag.

God bless.

I think they need a bigger shed.
Pretty image at the top. And, this the first (that I recall) of the bridge...built by Ken?
