Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Morning Sky and a hymn

 Happy Sunday
A couple of morning skies while walking this week.

๐ŸŽถSweet Hour of Prayer ๐ŸŽถ

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
The joys I feel, the bliss I share,
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
Where God my Savior shows His face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I’ll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
May I thy consolation share,
Till, from Mount Pisgah’s lofty height,
I view my home and take my flight:
This robe of flesh I’ll drop and rise
To seize the everlasting prize;
And shout, while passing through the air,
Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer!

If you are a stranger to prayer,
you are a stranger to the greatest power known to human beings.

Kim - No, not cleaning out the shed from yesterday - It's looked like that for a very long time.

Preciosas puestas de sol, que nos hace mirar al cielo, alabando al Creador.

Me han encantado las fotografรญas.

Those pictures of the sky are amazing - and that is one of my all time favorite hymns. We sing it often in our Sunday service. Hope you have a good week.

Such a beautiful hymn. We certainly need to pray more! Lord, have mercy!

Your sky shots are lovely. And I'm sad to hear that someone left such an eyesore of a mess outside their shed. Perhaps they should watch Marie Kondo for some decluttering inspiration. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Happy day to you, Karen!
