Walked 6 miles
A nice enjoyable walk all around town.
The man who walks his dog most days was out again.
Also saw Rebecca - she was running today
and Dwayne was walking.
They put up one of those speed signs in town to tell
you how fast you're going.
Most people I saw were keeping to the speed limit,
or at least under 30.
Saw a couple zip by in the 40's.
Was going to take a picture but thought people wouldn't
like me getting pictures of them speeding.
I don't walk fast enough to have it register. 😁
It was a little warm this morning so tried to stay in the shade.
Nice to walk in the shade made by the corn in the cemetery.
all ready with the trailer hooked up.
Ken was up early to get it ready first thing.
SIX weeks ago we brought the tractor in to have a hose replaced.
It was supposed to take a couple of weeks.
The one hose turned into 6 and they had to wait for parts.
One had to be specially made.
Ken has waited pretty patiently all this time,
BUT we will NOT bring the tractor back there again!
So many things he couldn't do without his tractor.
So off we went right after breakfast to pick up his tractor.
Here he is driving it onto the trailer.
Next we went with our dump trailer to the quarry and got a couple
tons of crush and run to put on David's driveway.
Then Ken had fun smoothing it out with the tractor.
Probably going for another load tomorrow.
I spent some time this afternoon weeding the daisy and cone flower
garden and taking weeds out of the gravel on a path in front.
Came across this little orange beetle - no idea what it is.
A couple of bees on a cone flower.
Then a nice sit on the front porch with bottle of water to cool off.
It's been a good day.
Hope you enjoyed your day.
Thanks for stopping by.

...here we have a few hose shops that would make a new hose while you wait. We hit the low 90s today, I froze green and wax beans and canned beets.
I thought Tom was going to tell you what kind of beetle it was. ☺️
Glad that Ken got his tractor back finally!
Your shot of the bees is my favourite.
I really like the sunflower mailbox. Glad Ken has his tractor back.
A red jeep (I think), a red pickup, and a red tractor!! Yes, I seek shade too when I walk. Lil
Love the "sunny" mailbox today. And the yellow beetle.
Wow, that's a long time to wait for a repair. And this is not a good time of year to be without your tractor!
We are lucky to have The Hose Doctor who makes a new hose while you wait. And, the wait is not long. We have all been looking for shady spots around here lately. I meant to say yesterday that I would be tempted to take refuge from the rain somewhere in town for awhile. Millie and I don't like to get soaking wet.
Hooray for getting that tractor back. Tractors and trailers really come in handy. Nice shade next to that corn. That's a cheery mailbox!
Mailbox #10 is cute with those cheerful flowers (daisies maybe?).
We have those beetles but ours are plain black.
You're always so busy. Like your close-up photos of the insects and flowers.
God bless.
Hello,
I am glad Ken has his tractor home now. Love the mailbox with the flowers.
Your coneflowers look pretty and the bees seem happy. Take care, have a great day and happy weekend!
Ken would have been rather lost without his Tractor- glad it is back now. We're going along well here- still Winter and cold. Looking forward to Spring on September 1st. Still in complete Lock Down - cannot go anywhere- lucky we have Hobbies for times like this. Stay well there Karen. Regards. KEV.
Be happy that you have the tractor, and keep taking good care of it.
A woman in Australia, needed one. Went to buy one. She got one, on the lot. And lucky she was.
Because tractors are "scarce as hen's teeth" there. If they are scarce there, how soon before they will be so, here?
Everything is getting scarce.
Food is costing more.
Everything is costing more.
Hmmmmmm.... I wonder why????????????????
