Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A pleasant summer day

A mostly cloudy morning with a temperature of 65 degrees.
Breezy at times and the sun did
make an appearance once in a while.

My usual walk all around town, the ballpark, and the cemeteries.
Didn't see anyone else out walking.
Walked down to see the bulls - just the 4 of them there yet.

Can see the corn growing taller every day.
It is now about 4 feet tall.

Remember that house that had the front yard dug up and had piles
of dirt all over?
The new grass has started to grow there now.

Walked 6 miles

A little more cleaning got done today and then just puttered about,
some outside, some inside.

After lunch we went to the dump and dropped off our garbage for the week.

As usual spent some time sitting on the porch.
Read and knitted.
Another pleasant summer day.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. πŸ™‚

Wish we could say the same here. But, our Summers are not pleasant

Love the distressed door draped with lilies in the foreground

...I have this thing about flaking paint! The door and the daylilies makes a nice scene.

The corn is making good progress.

Thank you for reporting in, on the house with all the dirt piles! It's going to be lovely.

Yes, that corn is growing. Is it for human consumption or for feed?

Yes that distressed door is very pretty with the flowers... But it isn't used I don't think, as there is no step. If anyone used it, they would have a not nice fall.

It is too hot to sit outside and read here, but you inspire me to do some reading right now, so I think I will! Have a good evening. See you tomorrow.

Sure sounds like another perfect day to me. You have me thinking of the creepy Children of the Corn movie again lol!

A little more cleaning got done here too today. It's been a bit cooler than it has been and I feel more energetic.

That white, chippy door with the red daylilies...a very artsy photo.
