Temperature this morning was the same as yesterday at 66.
Another sunny one too.
Walked all over town.
Ran into Rebecca and Joy a bunch of times as we were all
trying to stay on the shady side of the streets.
The ball park loop was traveled around quite a few times too.
Pretty quiet around town this morning but still a great morning for walking.
Walked 6 miles
Pretty Clematis
☀️ 🚶♀️ 🙂
A quick trip to the Shop and Save - only needed a few things.
Home to put groceries away and then we headed out again.
This time we went down to LaVale.
Needed a few things at Harbor Freight and stopped in
at the Lowes's down there too.
Got a bit more housework done and then spent some time on the
computer looking through the link below about Accident.
A little reading and knitting is always nice out on the front porch.
All the windows are open and breezes blowing through the house.
It is almost like being outside.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

Quite a few people commented on Accident, the town we live in.
Here's the story I was told how Accident got its name.
In 1750 King George II of England paid off a debt to George Deakins by giving him 600 acres of land in western Maryland. Mr. Deakins sent out two parties of engineers – each without knowledge of the other – to find and survey the best land in that section of Maryland. When the engineers returned, they discovered, much to their surprise, that they had each marked the same oak tree as a starting point and then marked off the same 600 acres. Mr. Deakins considered it safe to choose this land and had it patented as “The Accident Tract.”
I think it was more of a Coincidence and would have named it that. 🙂

That is a great history of how your town was named Accident, dating back so long ago. I have a clematis vine in that purple color, well, mine is a bit darker purple. They are lovely aren't they?
Thanks for the name origin explanation. I think you're right. "Coincidence" would be more suitable. Or "Serendipity".
It sounds like another perfect day! That tractor has definitely been sitting there for quite a while and the clematis is so pretty! Thanks for all the info and links about your town, very interesting for sure! I wish I could afford a summer house in Accident, sounds like the perfect place to escape the brutal Florida summer heat and humidity. Have a great evening Karen. :)
A good word origin.
...66 sounds heavenly, it was 92 here today.
Wow - such an interesting history of how Accident got its name. Its history goes way back1 I love your Clematis. Mine are not doing well here. I think it has been way too hot. See you again soon. :-)
Thanks for the history lesson, always interesting how history happens, especially where one lives. Stay cool!
I found the climate information interesting. A high of 79 degrees in July ~How sweet that would be. But 125 inches of snow each year. That's why they make puzzles! :~)
Interesting how your town received it's name- thanks for letting us know. It has been a clod rainy day here- we've been well rugged up all day. We are in complete lock down here due to the Covid-Delta Virus...they say it is for two weeks though this time frame may be lengthened. We're both fully vaccinated- with AstraZenica- which is good. Stay well there Karen and Ken. Regards. KEV.
Thanks for sharing the link. I enjoyed looking at the pictures and reading about it. We are in the 90s and it is so humid here. My Hubby loves Harbor Freight and I love Lowes.
Thank for sharing about the town’s name origin. I love your photos. Have a beautiful day. Hugs.
