This morning it was 65 degrees, cloudy,
and a little spritz of rain every so often to keep things cool.
My walk around town took me around both cemeteries,
the ball park, and up and down the main road a couple of times.
The bulls having a rest.
Came across the man who moved into the mobile home down my
way again walking his dog.
This time it was around the ball park so we stopped and talked.
He told me his name but I've forgotten it.
It was initials like JD or CJ, something like that.
He is very nice and his dog is friendly too. π
There was a mallard duck over at the pond but too far away
to get a picture. Don't see it there very often.
Walked 6 miles

Did the basic house chores this morning and then really didn't
do much of anything else.
Spent some time watching the deer out back.
The doe (maybe Dolly) was there with her little fawn who I've named Fiona.
Fun to watch the little one run back and forth out back.
She would run a little distance and then come running back to mom.
So small yet that she can run right underneath mom.
When another deer came by, mom chased it away.
After a while it was time for Fiona's nap so mom put her
in a spot out back and then left.
That was when I walked out back with my phone to take some pictures.
She stayed put so I could take them.
Came up behind her here.
Walked in front of her and you can see how well she is hidden.
This is my favorite one with her looking right at me.
What a treat to be so close to her, I could have touched her.
She didn't seem at all frightened.
I told her to stay there and that mom would be back soon.
Throughout the afternoon a few times I would see Fiona stand up, stretch,
and lay back down in the same spot.
I just amazes me how she stays right there until mom returns.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your day was a happy one.

...I have a similar problem remembering names. This morning I saw a deer and two rabbits in my garden. Not all that cute!!!
Nice to see the bulls having a rest and such sweet photographs of the fawn.
All the best Jan
That is amazing that fawns stay put and the doe returns. We have to educate people here to leave fawns where they lie and not try to "help" them. Mamas will come back. Have a good evening.
The bulls look quite relaxed.
Looks like all the critters were having a nice rest today. Little Fiona is such a pretty little thing and it's adorable that she stays put and waits for her Mama. You sure got some nice photos of her. Have a nice relaxing evening Karen. :)
You were privileged to be so near Fiona and to get some great pictures. It amazes me that the fawn would patiently wait where she was told to stay.
Oh my goodness! How lucky for you to get so close to that fawn! It's quite a beautiful creature with such lovely markings and a gentle face. Those bulls are gorgeous, too. I've heard that cattle will lie down on the ground if it's going to rain. Happy Wednesday!
Those are such great pictures of little Fiona the Fawn. How cool that you have such lovely neighbors. See you again soon. :-)
Great photos.
God bless.
Hello,
Love the bulls and that fawn is just adorable. What a cute sight to see!
Take care, have a happy day!
Loved your photos of the fawn. How wonderful that you get to watch her (him).
How awesome is that baby fawn?! Those bulls look comfy laying on that hay!
So sweet, that the baby stays right where Mama puts her.....
With deer, you must have to be on the lookout for ticks, at the end of each day.

Bless sweet little Fiona’s heart. She was born with this knowledge of survival. I am sure Dolly knows her fawn is safe with the good people there.
Nice to see the fawn looking up at you. She so trusting and must of felt safe. Nice photos!
Awww! Those are sweet pictures. What a treat to have the deer around you like that!
