Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Glad to be home

67 degrees this morning, cloudy with a very light drizzle
of rain for just a few minutes.
It felt nice and cool.

Walked around both cemeteries and the ball park.

This little trailer with a few items for sale was in a yard I passed by.
I looked in the money box and there was money in it.

Didn't see any people about during my walk.
Walk was only 4 miles today.

☁️    🚶‍♀️    🙂

A short walk because we had to drive down to Columbia, MD
for Ken's doctors appointment.
It's about a three hour drive.
It was just a checkup and all is in good working order!

While down there we stopped in at a Lowe's and Home Depot
to pick up a few things we couldn't find in our neck of the woods.
Also stopped and got sandwiches from Pot Belly for lunch.
Pretty hot down that way at 95 degrees and way too many people!!
We lived down there for almost 20 years and enjoyed being there,
BUT not anymore.  So nice to get back home in the woods where it
is nice and quiet and just 79 degrees.
Drove in and out of a few rain showers but not bad
and we home late afternoon.

Didn't feel like cooking so had a frozen DiGiorno's
pizza for supper.

Walked around outside after supper watering the plants.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

Glad you got home safely. I am glad that Ken's appointment went well. Sometimes, frozen pizza hits the spot. Have a good evening, and I will see you again tomorrow.

Many years ago, when we were transitioning to living here in KY, we lived in Columbia, MD. A busy place, even back then! Glad to hear the dr. appt. went well.

Sounds like a very nice day! Long drive to the doc! Hope you don't have to do that too often. But at least you made it fun and productive. I yearn for the country. We used to live in it. But it's now a booming metropolis and I hate it. I feel like The Little House. Someday I will move to the country, Lord willing. Take care! 🌻🌞

...it is HOT here! But a bit of rain passed through today, what a gift.

So glad Ken's appointment went well and I can imagine how glad you were to be back in your own quiet little town. If someone dared to put things out for sale unattended here, the items would be long gone and the money box would be empty, and we don't live in a bad area either. Country life is just different I guess and it sure sounds nice!

That first shot looks quite peaceful.

I don't blame you, 95 degrees and too many people or nice and quiet in the woods at just 79 degrees? I can tell you which one I'd pick. We're somewhere in the middle where we live. Hot but not too hot, crowded but not too crowded. Although we noticed it's getting a lot more crowded than it used to be. Glad everything went well with Ken's doctor's appt.

Hello,
I am glad Ken's doctor appt went well. It is nice to be far from the crowds but then the conveniences are far away too. Our nearest food store is 10-15 minute drive away, doctors offices are a 30 minute drive. The little cart is cute. Take care, enjoy your day!

That seems like a very long way to go for a dr's appointment. I like the idea of shopping afterward tho!!

Wish we had 75° right now.

Hi Karen- Whilst your experiencing some drizzle and hot days we are going to have our coldest day to-morrow in five years! Cold here- doesn't get much above ten degrees with a little rain about. Have a great day there. Regards. KEV.

Sounds like you had a nice day. I'm glad all is well with Ken. And I so agree about how nice it is to be away from the crowds of a city.

I'd agree. Too hot and too many people, in a big city.

Glad all is fine!

Your eating again, sounds delightful, for a hot and busy day.

Glad Ken's doctor's appt went well. They can be stressful sometimes.

Is that 3 hours one way or 3 hours roundtrip? Glad you made it there and back again and with a good report, too. We aren't fond of big cities anymore. We are being countryfied. :)

Most evenings find me outside checking which plants need watering. It's such a peaceful time and I'm enjoying the lovely long evenings.
