Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Bedford and streamers

Another beautiful sunny morning but this time it was 50 degrees.

Saw a few rabbits and a deer on my way to town.
Had my usual walk around town, the ball park and cemeteries.

Saw Joy again and Rebecca was out walking Leo too.

Still only 2 bulls down by the barn.
Number 61 wanted his picture taken.

Some pretty flowers along the side of a garage and the street.
No idea what they are.
I bet Tom, Anni, and FG will know though! 😃

Walked 6 miles

☀️    🌸    🚶‍♀️    ❤️

Last night we took the truck to church and hooked up the church
trailer filled with the Roman's books that we all assembled last month.
Did that so we could just leave from home this morning to take
them to the warehouse in Bedford, Pa.
We unloaded the finished books and then loaded
up another pallet in the trailer and brought it back to church.
The trailer is an enclosed one so we can just leave everything right
in the trailer and take things out as needed.
Bedford it just 1 hour and 15 minutes away and it's a pleasant drive.
We stopped at Wendy's for lunch.

When we got back to church we put up some streamers on some guide wires
behind the church so people wouldn't run into them.
We put them up in three different places.
You can see Ken is working and I'm playing around with the streamers. 😀

We were back home again around 3:30.
This morning I had put some chicken in the slow cooker so wouldn't
have to worry about making supper.
Worked out well.
Shredded up the chicken and we had it on Caesar salads again.
We've been eating that a lot lately.

That's it for today.
Hope your day was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Deb - Yes, the Drane garden, house, and grounds are all kept up with volunteers.

MsBB - The pedometer I use is called a Striiv and I've used it for many years.  I'm on the second one and they no longer make this kind.  I've tried a FitBit but returned it because didn't like it as much my Striiv.  My Striiv just fits in my pocket and I have it with me always. It is also very easy to see with big numbers.
It gives me the time, steps, miles, calories burned, and I can even play a game where I earn energies for steps walked so I can build structures and plants.
As of just about 6:00 here is where I stand so far today.  Will probably have another thousand steps by the end of the day.

Mmmmmm, chicken Caesar salads sound good! Those flowers are pretty. Clueless as to what they could be. Love the streamer idea for wires. Hope your evening is a blessed one!

-giggles- You look like you are trying out for "The Dance Of The 7 Veils"!!!!!!

Thank you for the info on how you count your miles, etc.

You wear jeans and it is easy for you to keep it in your pocket, thus. I wear loose cotton dresses, with pockets. But, not so sure it would work the same, as in pants pockets. Maybe I'll get a simple fitbit, and have next door family, set it for me... So I can keep it simple and be able to figure it out. -smile-

Another Sept. looking evening here tonight. Weird....

I love those little flowers. You and Ken do so much for your church, or maybe I should say you do so much for God. :-) Glad you had a nice trip to Bedford. The chicken caesar salad sounds like a good, healthy and easy dinner. See you again tomorrow.

You're very organized to get a chicken in the slow cooker for supper before you leave in the morning. I wonder what those pretty flowers are. Hope someone can identify them.

Lots of info packed into your post! I went to Bedford Village long ago. My pedometer (Omron) increased in price from $29 to $99 so I will look for a less expensive one when this one dies. I use an app on my cell phone to track steps but pedometer is much more accurate. The name of the flower is on the tip of my tongue. lol ♥ a pork shoulder in the crockpot♥ you have created a wonderful day!

Chicken in the slow cooker we just had the other night. I like having chicken salad with it the next day. #61 has got the pose down perfectly. Have a great day.
