This morning it was cloudy and 61 degrees when I went walking.
Had my usual walk around the cemeteries, the ball park
and around town.
Walking around the lower cemetery I came across an opossum
waddling across the path. Glad to know they are not aggressive
because they have some nasty looking teeth.
Didn't see any people walking about.
Farmer Marvin was busy working in the field.
He did wave at me as I walked past.

This field behind the cemetery on top of the hill is where all the
cows were a short while ago.
Now it is all turned over ready for planting.
I wonder if the cows were there to fertilized it first. :)

A shorter than normal walk this morning because I ran out of time.
Today was a work day at church doing Fingerprints.
It was great getting this ministry up and running again
after such a long time because of Covid!!
We worked from 9 to a little after 3 and got over
4000 Romans books assembled, stapled, cut, and packed up.
That pretty much took up the day.
Had pizza for supper.

Martha - I takes me about 1 hour and 40 minutes walking the 6 miles but that includes stopping to talk to people and animals and taking pictures.

Possums look ungainly, but they are very handy animals to have around.

We have possums around, mostly at night. For some reason I find then rather ugly. Years ago our dog ccrnered one and yes, those teeth look dangerous.
Great time for the distance you walk, especially with stops along the way. Sorry you had to cut it short today, but it sounds like you had quite a busy day!
It's good to hear that you are able to do these things in church again. We are still in lockdown mode.

I found a baby possum not long ago. I steered clear because I didnt know where Mama was. We get a few around here

Possums sure are vicious looking but a beneficial animal for sure! So glad you are able to do the Fingerprint ministry again!
Possums come after our next door son's chickens. So their little beagle mix dog, goes after them. She's never been trained to hunt, but follows 'orders,' when he and she are out there in the yard, when a possum has been spotted.
Possums are fine, in their own environment. But when they invade chickens area, they are not.
