Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

Sunset last night from the front porch.

33 degrees this morning, calm, and once the sun rose I walked in
the sunshine which warmed things up quickly.
By afternoon the temperature was in the 60's!!!

Walked around the cemeteries, through town, and around the industrial park.

I saw 3 Killdeers, 2 Red Winged Black birds and a whole mess of Robins
but still no people.

We've been having some great walking weather and I'm so thankful for it.

Walked 6 miles

☀️    🙂    ☀️

Ken left this morning to bring the truck to the dealer in Grantsville so they
could install a breaking system for towing the trailer.
It was supposed to take an hour so Ken was going to wait there till it was done and I stayed home.  He called me after a while and said it was
going to take a lot longer and would I come pick him up so off I
went.  On the way back we stopped at the library.

My Jeep was very dirty and Ken was nice and washed it for me.
Now it's all shiny red again.

I washed the kitchen window.  It is a box window and hard
to reach but I managed to get it washed.  Needed a step ladder to do
the outside.  I might wait a few days before I tackle the rest of
the windows in the house.  Need a break.

Got another few rows of weave-its sewn this afternoon and will
finish the last row this evening.

Finally got the call that the truck was finished at 3:45 so we
left then to pick it up.  Job ended up taking more than 5 hours and it
was very expensive, but Ken talked them into giving us a discount
because it wasn't supposed to be that long.  They were nice and
said we only had to pay for 2 hours of labor - that came to a
$210 discount!

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

Your sunset was so beautiful and today's weather was sure nice too! Yes, great walking weather.
How nice that you got a good discount on that huge bill after them taking way longer than stated beforehand. It pays to ask.

The birds I see and hear are such delightful things. So far my favorite has been an owl high in a pine tree above my head.

What a beautiful sunset. A shame that the truck repair cost more than you were expecting. We're not looking forward to finding a reliable garage when we need one after having such a trustworthy garage back in Devon.

I love the sunrise picture. It looks like the sky is on fire! So glad you were able to get the work done on Ken's truck and the the dealership didn't charge your for all the hours of labor. They really should have known how long it would take and not told you that it would only take an hour. It's always nice to drive a nice, clean vehicle. I will probably wash our cars this weekend. It should be warm enough. Have a good day and I will see you again soon.

It's been in the 60's the last two days here but very windy so not comfortable to be outside! Nice that the dealer gave you a discount. It's the least they could do to make up for the gas running back and forth!

60°! Ohhh...waiting for the day. It will be in the 50s here today. Love to see the snow and ice melt.

Good dickering on Ken's part!

Yes, take your time on those windows. One bite at a time.

Beautiful sunset. Bet 60 degrees felt good after all the snow and cold. I'm so glad spring is almost here. How nice they gave Ken a good discount...you rarely hear of that happening. I've got start on the window washing too and usually start with the kitchen.
